Holy crap. I've done stat and information reporting on probably around 100 different gaming tournaments and I can say that this is a phenomenally awesome accomplishment.
The scouring for score results, getting in contact with tournament officials, verifying schedule and match adjustments, and then putting all of that data together into an aesthetically appealing format like this is just way cool to see. Not to mention thats before all the extra goodies like match/group recaps and individual player profiles.
Hats off TL, excellent work
I'll be in Raleigh on the tournament floor coordinating all of our online updating for results and content, if whoever is doing the wiki needs a direct contact, PM me.

Yeah morrow deserve it remenber anyone ? http://www.sk-gaming.com/content/29443-Terran_weak_or_just_unlucky yeah OP immortal rush and stupid op roaches good times Hun ? during that time morrow and few others Terran were having sucess despite T being in the same situation zerg are right now pretty funny , i hope that blizzard will balance things so that everytime a Terran win a tournament people stop taking the credit off the player. Anyway good job Morrow !

I remember his face turn red when he apoligized to Tarson for "abusing mass reapers" and saying it "wasnt balanced at all."
i also lol'd at the picture of his face:
"MorroW deep in thought after going 1-0 up against Idra"
"SHIT, what am i gonna do next game?????!!???" i think he is just hiding his face in shame...
but srsy guys, anyone would have done it for the money!

Anyone saw the post-final interview with Idra? It was hilarious!

I think Idra was intent on losing. The prize for 1st place was pretty insignificant compared to second and he didn't really care. The game on Blistering Sands shows that he missed out on at least 4 spawn larvae injections at his natural and possibly a lot more. No diamond/platinum player would even stockpile that much energy and miss out on larvae. He built his baneling nest at the worst possible place as well as his ultralisk cavern out in the open for free kill.
It is so unlike idra to do this, even when's he's laddering on the korean server he doesn't play like this, he plays far superb. People should examine replay for more evidence.
I believe he intentionally lost because he wanted to show the world how overpowered terran/reaper is. Extremely bad sportsmanship, because when he's on live GOMTV he plays serious mode.(respect koreans and boost popularity in korea and too much bad image in western world)
The last game on Steppes of War is good proof that he's trying to tell the audience he had been affected by the mind games morrow played on him, while simultaneously telling the world that he needed to build every single tech structure (baneling nest way too early when he saw a hellion -uncharacteristic of high level play) or he would lose to the numerous 1234 strategies terran had.

Yes, Idra, one of the most competitive, determined and dedicated players from BW, and even more so in SC2, threw the games to send a message to the world. No?
edit: sorry, I shouldn't respond to posts already banned for :X

With such a liquipedia page he definitely won't let the razer girls go next time, right?

so sweet to win after you got in from and invite. Morrow probably feels like $5000. Congrats!
|
the tournament summary on liquipedia is excellent!

Congratulations Morrow, well deserved. btw anybody knows what happened to our new german BW superstar Koll ?Is he going to Korea? Is he switching to SC2 ?
|
Idra messed up game 3 and Morrow played excellent in that macro game. He deserved the win because he simply played better in this deciding game. Morrow would have been in big trouble had Idra played at his usual level. Queens with full energy and 1000 resources in the bank are not acceptable if you want that title. Congrats to Morrow!

Morrow has won so much stuff and still seem to be so anonym to people. Hopefully now he will be considered a top player among normal fans too.
|
I can honestly say that I cheered for him from the start. He has that "new kiid on the block" look but seemed so determined to prove his worth and still being quite humble.
And... uh... what's wrong with mass reapers? It's a strategy... You guys whine about everything... I prefer to see mass reapers action that a baneling bust. It is just way more intensive and fun. Reapers are one of my favorite units of the game, even tho I'm P! ^^
Go go MorroW!!!

Well deserved win by Morrow. The only way to beat a top macro zerg (tvz and pvz) is by constant non stop pressure. Sure he used reapers and they may be a tad strong mainly because of their structure damage but I see it as one of the few solutions to stoping idra.

Sweden! ^^
Too bad about the poster girls on stage though, It's sad that they still go for that kind of scheisse during these tournaments, doesn't feel very serious tbh.
|
The only criticism I have is that reapers get a bit boring after being seen in every game of the tournament. But I love reapers in general. Was hoping for more heavy mech play from the terrans.
|
No Protoss players even made it to the quarterfinals (in a tournament with 16 people). This makes me sad.
|
Wow awesome job guys

Awesome play by MorroW! Swedish power!
