Then to figure it out for a 2/3 game set you can't add those changes. You need to use the choose function or subtract 1 - (chance of failure^3). Example - what's the chance I get a head in 3 coins? Well 1/2 chance of head on the first flip.. if tails 1/2 chance I get on second so 3/4 chance in 2 coins.. in the 1/4 event I don't get a heads there's a 1/2 chance I get it on the third so that means a 7/8 or 1 - (0.5^3) chance. Edit - Choose function wouldn't work Although the last part isn't really relevant because statistically speaking Boxer or Nada will lose their first match against some other player and not play again. Still.. interesting thought exercise | ||
