Welcome, welcome, one and all! From forum veteran to avid lurker, the Liquipedia Review is here to keep you up to date on the goings on. This won't be a very long issue, but we have two very important topics to cover! In this issue, we announce the contest winners and an awesome tutorial on How To Improve by our very own Ver!
1. Contest winners
Although I wasn't in the jury myself, I can tell you that, even watching from the sideline, the struggle to find a winner was a long and difficult one. The scoring was done by Liquid`Nazgul, riptide, Imperator, Flicky, and Aesop.
Congratulations to Oo xerox on winning our contest! Enjoy your Hwaseung Oz shirt!
2. "How to Improve" by Ver
Strategy forum savant Ver has been an incredible contributor to the wiki right from the start. Without his insight into Terran Strategy in special, our content would be far below the level where it is now. Ver has been quiet for a while, but not for nothing. He has produced a most insightful, 33 page long guide that is titled "How to improve", which might be the most insightful and complete coverage of this topic we have ever seen. It comes with plenty of game examples and instructive VODs and has been converted into PDF to honor its essay-like character that goes well beyond a standard forum post. Additional credit goes to stet_tcl for helping with formatting and inserting links to Players, VODs, and Strategies.
Ya know... that document by Ver is good. However, with all that editing and proofreading and reformatting... someone should have taken the time to fix the grammar, mis-spellings, punctuation mistakes, and author-invented words. At times it's difficult to determine the actual intent of the author.
Setting the pejorative posting aside, the document is an excellent resource, one which should be read by any and everyone prior to making a post soliciting advice for personal improvement.
When SC2 is up, I check for build orders. When it was down, I looked at unit stats. That's pretty much it
Also, very helpful baneling build, most people go banelings, but I didn't know any specific builds for it! Great work on it too, lots of little things in the description that can really help.
Nice work, Pho-pho - would like to see LP kept up to date even with the release of the retail game as if people can just put in a bit of effort now it will reward everyone later!
Also, that page isnt done yet, i stopped on the limit day on the fear of disqualification or something, i will finish the entire thing in a couple of days, thanx for all the support !

There are 3 threads about starcraft in cuba, just use the search function and insert cuba
The Cuban article is so incredible. To all you enthusiasts out there if you have something to write about as long as you do it well everybody will love it!
The "How to Improve" article was great. Even though it was written for SC1, i believe it will help alot in my SC2 game. There were things in there that i knew already, but some key points really opened my eyes.
Thanks alot Ver, your work is greatly apprecaited.
Ver, i just want to personally thank you for all the effort you put into that unbelievably enlightening pdf.
After reading it, i now realize why i have never been able to rise above the D+ level. I am starting over from scratch and i am going to improve following the steps you outlined religiously.
Thanks for the article, Ver. Not only was it a great article, but you put in the effort to have a very helpful recommended VOD section, with useful comments as well.
