From my perspective it looked like Vivax got caught between two simultaneous arguments and didn't really know what DP was arguing about (since there was the "typogate" going on simultaneously). I also found it very hard at least first to see what DP is really after, that may be because English is not my mother tongue or whatever reason, but i felt the same when reading that. After it got clear (to me), it looked like it still didn't for Vivax, and then he just got tired of arguing overall and was like "dude this shit is nothing, just move on already".
