You would want to pressure marv (and you don't think he is town), to gain so vital information from him or others, but you don't want to do that too. I’ll clarify as I’m not sure if I was clear enough previously. In the hypothetical scenario you posed at the time you posted it I would try and lynch Marv to determine information regarding his alignment. This implies obviously that I don’t know his alignment.
I can kind of see where you are coming from in terms of why don’t you pressure Marv then?
reasons.
1.) Marv is posting now
2.) we aren’t in the hypothetical that you laid out and there is enough information to play the game.
3.) the fact I stated it openly reduces the effectiveness of pressuring Marv
