I read your post DP.
You missed that monstrous list he did D1, which IMO is almost enough to put someone in the gallows on its own.
I agree with some of your reads on him (especially the one where he was empathetic about someone wanting to have a read on their partner, that was my interpretation too), but we see a lot of their filter differently.
From what people say, VE is big balls player. IIRC Rayn or Marv cited him as having bragged that this is exactly the sort of thing he would do (brazenly lead a lynch on town D1). You call it a next-level play, and I guess it is in a way, but it's something that seems on the cards regardless.
His outburst at rayn felt a little more genuine but again, over the top. Do people accuse others of gaslighting in anger frfr? Maybe I'm out of touch, but not quite convincing to me. It's also possible to be feel disrespected as mafia when trying to abuse the respect you don't receive. The sentiment is extremely relatable (Rayn and others pushing others to play the game the way they insist), but this could also be VE trying to appeal to existent townie frustrations.

But honestly, I think I would have been called mafia whatever I did,
If I stick with LS and VE flips Red, I am mafia because I was hard defending my scum buddy
If I stick with LS and VE flips green, I have TMI and how could I town read VE here = must be mafia
If I switch to RED VE from LS - Switched to fast and I was bussing.
If I switch to Town VE from LS - Switched to fast I must have been trying to hammer a townie.
So I really don't give a fuck anymore, and will just vote with Rayn and TTT because they both made sense on VE I read them as town and I clearly don't know wtf is going on anymore to end up in this situation as town.
If I put money on it LS and VE are both scum and if any of them are town it is VE.

The fact you are thinking about the options in terms of how it looks per each alignment is pretty telling. What I am looking for and thinking about is whether peoples thought processes are natural and make sense, not what makes me look bad or good depending on who is what alignment.

Am I mistaken in thinking that DP wasn't opposed to the VE lynch before, but preferred LS?
I had made it really clear to DP that I wasn't even really considering LS for tonight because I was locked onto VE. He wants LS lynched so he was trying to downplay VE.

You have literally used similar arguments casting aspersions against me. I always think about the bolded as either alignment, its part of not getting lynched and sanity checking yourself.

Unless i am VERY wrong about something, i don't think they can both be mafia, because Onegu's vote on VE is pure distancing maf v maf vote -- and definitely adds for reason why VE isn't mad about that vote D1.
That makes it so that bot h DP and LS can't be mafia. And i am honestly wayyy more sold on LS being mafia than DP. I can go to reasons but not now.

I got townreads on them very quickly (to the extent I was paranoid I was being mega duped) but with you - never far off null. Why did I feel that way?
Then some things I don’t think make sense from a townie perspective - the town reads and the VE stuff here - and it just clicks to me you’re mafia

btw the nail in the coffin for VE in my opinion was not losing it over being voted for no reason, because it is entirely inconsistent with all the emotion I saw in his filter dive, the problem is I didn't notice it when I read his filter because it wasn;t there.
