You arrive at a small, empty room. An old man stands in the room, a small candle in his hand. His long, white beard spills over his purple robe. As his eyes meet yours, you see no malice or hatred. Just a tired, kind soul, looking at an end to an unending storybook. Chez speaks, "Well then, I suppose we should begin."
Blazinghand takes a puff from his pipe, and then he begins. "It was a dark and stormy night. The ship you know as the S.S. Minnow had hit a reef, and was taking on water. The captain tried to get the ship as close to shore as possible, but it was too late. By the time we got there, the crew, including the captain had abandoned ship. The nearest shore was a few nautical miles to the southeast. The survivors clung to the only lifeboat on the reef. I shall relate to you the events that transpired on that fateful night, as related by one of the survivors, a man by the name of Féval. First, I shall relay to you the events that transpired before the Minnow struck the reef. Then we can move on to the events relating to our journey at sea.
