so since in my head there was no pytagoras in the game, i thought euclid would figure it out

Artanis has suggested maybe we should have made it a pm game (and probably given mafia a recruiter instead of have the recruiting mechanic be for the whole team). I forget why we didn't do that tbh. Maybe just concern that an early recruiter lynch would be super bad for mafia? But we probably shouldn't have been so concerned about that.
