I think we can safely assume everyone has been given an alignment/role at this point in the game.
Unfortunately I don't feel like I have any reads yet, so I suppose I'll go do something else until more people have a chance to post now that alignments should be known.

We can't play on what ifs however, and more than likely mafia did not know any more than town did that nobody would or would not know alignment.
And yes its a good logical conclusion that if scum knew its alignment they would start with I am town instead of IDK whats going on exactly here.

As mentioned earlier I am very glad to announce that I have been granted the honor of becoming a native citizen of arstotzka.
They have provided me with a nice little house with everything I need.
Enough heating to keep me warm and enough food to not go hungry.
They seem to however have forgotten to include a box of matches to light up the gas stove.
If nobody helps out, I'll have to eat my food raw.
I can't wait to tell my wife the great news.
