I'm not a Kitaman mind-reader but we need a full 13 player roster. We're at 12/13. Once we get the 13th player, the protocol is usually a 24 hour confirmation period (sometimes it's even less, where all players confirm by posting or via PM) for the players to confirm their spot. This is so that forum games are not ruined by players going afk as this is a longer timespan than IRC mafia (or voice mafia as some of the TLers do). Also forum mafia can be difficult for some of the newer players on TL. We strongly encourage you to use your coaches and converse with them to the best you can.

GG scum team Hey KMatt....this is just FYI.... http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/mafia/5175...ia-xxv?page=77#1528 I think next time, think beyond the current lynch, especially in triple mylo where you have to hit mafia consecutively here on out. DF was scum when he said that, but he is right. If I didn't have perfect information (as mafia coach), and you weren't claimed vig, I would have scumread you thinking you were potentially trying to coast. Work on forming teams when town are auto-lynch in general and you are sure you are right, and then backtrack if you are wrong. If you're NOT in mylo, and you aren't sure town are on the right track....there are 3 mafia....search for the other two independently.

Counter-wagon gives town information and a lurker means that you don't have to waste a lynch on a useless player. In this case, I cannot fathom why BTDT was NOT shot. lmao This was exactly how I felt. I saw Damdred's posting on that too and I was like.....yeeaaaahhhhhh.

That's something I am going to bring up in postgame. You may be scum but honestly pages 56 and 57 are a disaster. Michael and Silverwolf...I had to re-read their posts several times and ME, I really struggled. Holy shit. People are not going to read poorly formatted posts. They need to learn to use spoilers. Michael please use line breaks and spoiler formatting next time. Use bold underline and bullet points and use a TLDR to sum up a case. Please. I learnt that the hard way. There were a few posts in that debate that literally hurt my eyes to read. A lot of people in this forum play on mobile so if they are trying to read the thread on mobile, they might almost certainly miss your points. Use BBCode's bold, underline, spoiler, line break, strikethrough functions, etc to make your posts sing, to spoiler certain quotes since - let's face it - not everyone wants to read it or rather, not everyone wants to read massive walls of texts. Walls of texts take focus off your main point you are trying to convey. Spoilers will help with readability. Some people here (esp in the non-newbie games) prefer just simple sentences as to why someone is mafia and others want the support. So I usually try and spoiler quotes if you want to use that or a large case to support and pull together why someone is mafia. Long wall of texts without a summary statement (or TLDR) are posts that a lot of town may not read just because the format of the post is not optimal. This will be truer in a higher activity game.

From Obs QT /m171 /m169 if df/calix/squishy actually are the scum team, town should just concede. and I should probably quit TL for that matter. Please don't leave us though. Even though you nuked me twice from the observer QT. ![]()

As either alignment, aside from the advice I directly gave you, you need to work on putting priority on your top scumreads. When and if you should return as town, focus on post quality but not to the extent you start overexplaining (and at times you had the opposite problem, but we all discussed that one in the qt). Focus on who you think is mafia, and why, and with quotes if you can. Then move on to the next point. Follow up with questions. If you see something they do that changes your read, mention it and keep on moving. Way to hang in there, wouldn't mind coaching you again as town. Generally you want to be able to get your town game established first before you can really solidify your scum game.

Boston (and other newbies who might be interested), lemme tack on to what DF mentioned....for some veteran games, where the moderator should allow it, you CAN shadow veteran players to get a sense for how they play the game and how the game SHOULD be played. The caveat here is that (to prevent wifom) you need to pick your player first before their alignment is given. When the game begins, you and the player you shadow are given a private qt to talk about how (s)he approaches the game and why.
