I think that's too complex especially with this amount of players. Also really only viable if you know the presidents alignments right after the election. Not really though. Say two people pledge their vote to grack. Then we find out grack received 1 vote. We'd essentially know that 1 out of 2 players was lying at that point. It doesn't matter what gracks alignment is. Plus it's not like people aren't going to share who they want to elect as mayor. Shouldn't be too hard to keep track. We don't have lynches so that's really the only alignment indicative thing we've got.

There are no conflicts I think. There is no lynching and there is no night killing. Everything in the game relies on events and player abilities. Each day lasts 48 hours and the night lasts 24 hours, but there may be abilities and events that change this Ehh I assumed that part pertained to the length of the cycle, but maybe :/

Since there are no lynches, it probably makes sense to assume they will receive a kp. I like HF's suggestion that the two elected officials should be town controlled with their actions, but I think it should apply to all presidential candidates, not just HF. We have a 24 hour period after the presidents are elected so we can vote/coordinate then.

HF or Tumblewood seem like best bet for President....maybe disfo on an outside chance if those two look terrible by the end of the day. HF has said a few things that mimic what I'm thinking mechanic wise. He's also a fairly competent person to have some type of kp or protective power granted to him. Tumble seems likely to be town from that initial spat of stuff, but not 100% on that yet. The rest are mostly focused on election and stuff. For Soviets I'd say superbia is the better vote, but having him receive the power and then getting nuked would kinda be a waste. One thing I've been thinking about is if maybe onegu nuked superbia to guarantee that his scum buddy chez got elected since the nuke would dissuade votes from the only alternative.

Onegu claims he is fairly certain GB is scum and then nukes superbia out of the blue after people call him out for the chinese thing which makes him look really scummy. GB's only real post aside from his election talk is a self-defense post, which comes off bad. I seem to remember something similar with a mafia mayor election from him in a past game. I gotta double check the database though when I have a chance. SL seems like he was given the suggestion to lay low in a mafia qt or something. I think town SL would be way less concerned about playing careful or getting nuked. I didn't like that Vivax went out of his way to disagree with my voting plan when there really isn't a downside to the extra information, even if it doesn't pan out in the end. He never explained why it was too complex when asked. His most recent post about disfo just a couple minutes ago makes me like him slightly more, because I was thinking the exact same thing. Arta kinda rubs me the wrong way with his initial few posts so I'll bring him up for good measure.

On August 16 2016 23:02 Vivax wrote: Your plan is pointless, everyone can lie about their nationality, we will never discover the motivations for why someone would lie until we see flips from either them or the presidents. I have no reason to lie about my nationality, do you? We essentially announce ahead of time (right now) that anyone who lies about their vote will be assumed mafia. That even discourages people with alternate win conditions or whatever from lying because they know they will be punished for lying in the thread. Then once we get the results, we can learn if someone lied about their vote. It doesn't matter if the president that gets elected is town or mafia because only mafia would have the motivation to say they are supporting one candidate and then secretly voting another. Plus it makes people have to take a stance in the thread during a cycle where we don't get the information from a lynch. The vote is really the only alignment indicative info we have on day one, aside from the random nuke or something. Sure, player A can call player B scum, but without a lynch or anything to enforce it, it is pretty empty.
