BUT I don't agree with a lot of things in it, I don't think your criticism of fidei are justified, he was pretty townie considering his lackluster scum game, and kinda confirmed town after he helped build a wagon on a scum that was not even a lynch candidate at the time; you not townreading him for that WAS suspicious when you usually read him so well. I also don't understand the criticism of Damdred, of course he will scumread townies D1 lol, you have to do stuff to solve the game and I think Damdred had HTS as town and SL/Shape when he died ?Like, I don't understand that post at all. Why do you blame yourself for the FF and TT lynch ? Them getting lynched don't lose the game, in fact it's the opposite! You & gumshoe not considering Shape in LYLO is what loses the game. You have to mislynch some townies to solve the game! That is why town has 2 or 3 mislynches in the first place, mafia is balanced around that fact. Every townie has every right to scumread you and pressure you if it gets them closer to solving the game in the end of the day. Like, you talk about Koshi in your post too as someone you disliked this game; well, ofc Koshi can be obnoxious sometimes, but fuck he is the living example of what I'm trying to say; wrong all game, scumread you all game, but fucking right at the end. He's the personification of how mafia is balanced. To talk about the game, I don't think the early days were bad, but this last day was a fiasco. HTS, if you had taken a few minutes to read gumshoe's database entry, you would have seen that if gumshoe was scum, it was the first time he succeeded in tryharding as scum, which is a strong indicator for him being town. On the other side of the vote, gumshoe giving the confirmed town status to Shape was bad. gumshoe, you did exactly the same last game when you confirmed JAT town for something completely NAI. I don't deny that HTS was a possible scum TBF, scumreading her was not crazy, but giving Shape a confirmed town status with the way he played was pretty bad. In the middle, Koshi saw it through and did his best, but nobody listened to him. As long as both gumshoe and HTS scumread each other, there was nothing he could do, and it's not like he didn't try. Don't have much to say to you Shape, I don't know why you went to jail + the whole weather stuff, hope you and your loved ones are OK. Of course mafia is secondary to real life stuff. BUT considering only your game contributions, you shouldn't have won this one. ^^ AND apart from the activity at some point, I don't think the other days were a fiasco. Yes a lot of people were wrong about a lot of other people, but it's normal to be wrong before the end of the game; as long as you end up being right at the end you will win. The info was there at the end of the game. Again, town can afford a few mislynches for a reason. In a close game, it's expected town WILL be wrong a few times and still have a chance to win. TLDR DONT BE MAD IF PEOPLE ARE WRONG ON YOU AS LONG AS SCUM IS LYNCHED AT THE END OF THE GAME. ITS NORMAL TOWNIE ARE SUPER WRONG AT THE START OF THE GAME. | ||

HTS you're a better player than I am so I didn't mean to lecture you p: what I wanted to exprim first or foremost is that what you got angry about (people scumreading for what you feel was bad reasons, you leading lynches on townie) is normal, and if you took it badly, then it's either because you were in a bad mindset to begin with; or because mafia is not for you when you don't have a lot of free time to play. Because the things you disliked about this game were 100% normal, and even more than that, if you were not tilted during this last day town would have probably win the game, so it's not like town threw the game before LYLO. | ||

1. Yes I played badly. I struggled to make good reads on anyone. The funny thing is that I couldn't shake the feeling that TT/HTS/Koshi were all aligned, and yet they couldn't all be scum together. Their thought patterns were all basically identical. I should have realised they were town really. But yes. I was bad. Bad bad bad. 2. After we lynched DYH I was literally ecstatic. I've never seen a true bus, and I just couldn't conceive of anyone could think I was the lynch with three lynches to go. My play on D3 was basically "I literally cannot believe that anyone thinks I'm mafia. If you think I'm mafia, it means you must be mafia". Yes it was bad. But there it is. | ||

she feels what gumshoe did about his anger was a shitty thing to do as either alignment honestly. she provided several counterexamples where mafia used emotion to get their way with things. she wasn't making that up. personally I would have used the example from millionaire where gumshoe and hts also don't know each other that well I don't think she's played with him ever before. but appeal to emotion will never sway her, in fact his doing what he did only "assured" her he was likely mafia. there was no way back from the tunnel once gumshoe did that, whether you agree with her or not, she will not give a shit about appeal to emotion in these games. that said she does accept she should have just placed way more pressure on shapelog. I asked her if she would have done so if she had been around to notice that shape was doing shit all, she admits she doesn't know if she would have ever switched her vote....but she would have screamed at Shape to take a stand on one of them. | ||

ITS NORMAL TOWNIE ARE SUPER WRONG AT THE START OF THE GAME. asked her when she made that post versus when she told me she came around on damdred. it was like a 3 hour difference. she came around to the fact he goofed because it was a day 1 read. at the time though before that final read, he could have gotten her killed easily and her frustration stemmed from her being unable to understand in Damdred's filter why she was being scumread. the prevalence of shenanigans on day one like I said, is pretty shocking. she came around on Koshi only day 4 and tried to work with him in mylo. she completely misread koshi's pressuring of ff on day 1 for example because she legitimately thought he could be on the wrong track and his pressuring ff wouldn't get him anywhere. like she thought koshi pressuring ff was a waste of time. she just didn't articulate herself properly. I think by the time she got to mylo she better understood koshi, but as was stated in qt, had damdred been alive to bridge the gap I think she would have been more efficient with him well before then. someone said in qt koshi pissed off too many people to be an effective player. HTS, if you had taken a few minutes to read gumshoe's database entry, you would have seen that if gumshoe was scum, it was the first time he succeeded in tryharding as scum, which is a strong indicator for him being town. wasn't ever going to happen simply because she played nearly the entirety of mylo on mobile stuck in a hotel conference room for two days. edit: yeah gumshoe's timing of his vote really made her suspicious but she did zero filter diving in mylo. easily did tonnes of filter diving every other cycle before, she told me she read up and down on Tictock in the database day 4. of course couldn't do it in mylo, worst possible timing for her. had she been in the office, she would have. but one 10 min break, another 5, she might have been able to get away during lunch maybe 10 min max. played again on mobile maybe another 10 min max after the day ended, and then I think Monday night she stayed up late to make some progress, but she won't get far at 2am. pretty sure she re-read filters on the train. she told me she probably clocked less than 2 hours reading and playing in mylo, significantly lower than every other cycle. and most of that time she drained sparring with gumshoe. :/ and all of her worst games as town have been when she plays on mobile, pressed for time. happened in gaiden, in resistance, and now here. edit: and yes, in general, she hates playing forum mafia on mobile. she wouldn't be mad at you saying this btw, she figures you're trying to be helpful. | ||

post restriction fucked her up. she did NOT blame the mods btw. but she was forced to consolidate posts in a way that prevented her from saying things in a way that she could get her message out there. she knew she was having trouble when tumble, tictock and others complained about how wordy she was. she tried line breaks and formatting and such. she tried to correct it. with the exception of mylo, every other day she came pretty close to the limit. she's pretty damned wordy as both alignments, difference is she would have had 3x the filter size. imo, towards the end she got better at this, but it was a major issue early game for her. | ||

(now i know this is going to sound weird coming from me but i hope y'all understand that my conversational-style posts aren't actually my writing style irl lol) there is something to be said for learning how to make things concise. gum also suffered from this problem. the great thing about koshi and damdred is they both say what they mean in relatively few words i know hts doesn't plan on playing again soon but some suggestions (also for gum) bullet points + main evidence, then spoilering the actual quoted posts and the more wordy explanations would probably make it a lot easier for those reading your posts, and get your message across or you could just be like me and have shit grammar/post brain cancer \o/ and repeat yourself a million times! <- clearly the best way to post in a post restricted game mhm ^^ | ||
