Two things come to my mind.
1. Pretending you are certain someone is scum is not bad. It's called posturing, and it can act as additional pressure on that player.
2. It wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't posturing even. I found his cases quite convincing, even though they didn't convince me.

If he's a blue role he should claim blue role. Then we won't lynch him. We can verify his role later in the game.
If he's a blue role and he claims vt, then he's going to get lynched anyway and everyone will know his role after he's dead.
And this is only if getting lynched is a certainty. In Kura's case, he won't be here EoD so doing it early is appropriate.
