First of all it will be much easier to read you if noone gives you that info, because if you are mafia you will get it anyways from your team and it will affect your decisions. If you are not mafia it is easier to tell if you actually think what you do when you don't know the players.

Good players can actually read into that kinda stuff you know?
You should not even want that info if you are town because it's literally easier to prove yourself as town if you do not know the players.
