Thunderous applause rocked the council chamber, but even distant Jedi felt the tremors. Even those with only a slight attunement to the force could feel everything shifting as the blaster fire turned, claiming their allies.

The Jedi turned to each other. Their eyes searched and their senses grasped seeking any hint, any movement, any sign that might hint at who among them intended betrayal. But they could only perceive terror. Desperation. A growing sense of dread. The dark side seemed to surround them, laughing. The purge continued, as the Jedi were ended.

And yet, all hope was not lost. It might be too late to stop the purge. But, it was not too late to try to spare the universe from the dark hands behind the slaughter.

And so, the Jedi rallied, knowing full well their chances were slim. They pushed forward, sabers flickering as their gambit took its toll.
