I actually thought I might be a dragon for a little while this game (if I took a somewhat huge stretch of flavor) :c but I'm not. No firebreath, no virgin sacrifices. @VisceraEyes: I haven't been reading thread super closely but I assumed Palmer was shopkeep from this post http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/mafia/447045-catastrophe-mafia?page=218#4359 Since it seems like something you can't really fakeclaim if you are buying/selling items. Btw palmer if you want me to buy some stuff let me know, have 20/50 (and 5/5 though dunno if that makes sense) so it's not too important one way or the other. | ||

If people in the know want me to make more of a defense I can post something more substantive... but otherwise I think it's best for everyone if I stay as a lazy survivor. Simply put, if you are lynching me it's probably because you can't find a good lynch on scum, and that won't become any easier if I die. | ||

This is just speculation but Vayne may be Saruman 'cause he thought he died when he read this post http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/mafia/447045-catastrophe-mafia?page=245#4897 which kind of references Lord of the Rings. However, if Saruman is evil role with KP, Vayne is a little less likely because I visited him n3 and he had no items. So If Vayne he killed someone with items n1/n2, he used them up or gave them away. He may have killed someone with items n3, though (my checkitem/takeitem resolves after KP). | ||

1 shot power to disable all item use for a night and scrambles them between players 1 for 1. It replaces my night action. 1 shot self-protect. I originally thought that was unlimited, later clarified to learn it was a one-shot. It doesn't replace my night action. | ||

I can win with town or scum. If you kill all mafia and I live, I win with you. If mafia kill however many town and I live, then I will win with them. Neither side has any incentive to kill me... I have nothing that is threatening enough to town or scum to matter. I can't think of any reason to ever reveal whether I've used self protect so I won't. | ||

I still don't think I would use that power, though, unless I get given a time bomb or something else that will kill; in that case I will swap items and someone else can die instead, hopefully whoever gave it to me. | ||

I really don't know what syllo was trying to do. I feel like as scum he should have wanted to ally with me, not try to paint me as scum. If I get lynched I flip 3p without any kp, so it just makes him look bad. I guess maybe he could have used this argument to say he must not be scum because why would he lie, and someone else must have also visited whoever it was he claimed, but eh. It is possible someone has a win condition of killing me (since that kind of role seems popular in this game). I guess he could have been trying to keep the lynch off someone else that day? If you want I can try to visit you and steal an item to feel more confirmed :3c I'd be willing to give it back afterward. If I get roleblocked by scum, then whatever, it would uses up a roleblock to prevent nothing important. | ||

re: my power @austin: Yeah, it swaps items 1 for 1. I mean, it could be town-relevant if town has stocked up on some useless items. But, I’d be wary of disabling items because I know some items stop KP. Re: paperscraps He didn’t have any items when I visited him n1. It’s possible he used up the item before I visited, if he had an item at all. I was told that my steal happens before KP resolves, don’t know how it works compared to item use timing. Tonight I'm stealing geript | ||

Like, if someone roleblocks whoever Robik hides behind, it would theoretically roleblock Robik. But, if Robik is roleblocked, he wouldn't be hiding behind them. I think there was something like that in back to the future, I forget. It inverts actions, so I read that as meaning that someone protecting his target would kill him. Hey geript did you get any items last night? if so a few things make sense. | ||

My thinking was that maybe Robik targeted geript, so when I visited geript (to ID/take an item), maybe his effect flipped my action, giving you items instead of taking them. I assumed that I only stole one item, not all of them (though I might be mistaken?) but I haven't stolen from anyone yet this game so I'm not sure. | ||
