Although night was still a scary time for those on the streets (especially with the Sons of the eSports Revolution killing people), the universe still seemed to work like normal when the sun was down. Sometimes, Sean could even remember the name and face of his brother. Sometimes, he could forget that he lived in this dark parody of his own universe, a mirror that more and more often was showing cracks and bends. You couldn't even see yourself in a normal mirror any more. It didn't matter to Sean, though. He could go the rest of his life without seeing his reflection and that would be fine by him.
