What's really odd to me is not the jcarl case or vote. It's the progression of thought. Like he obviously thinks that Heimer/Janna are powerful roles and the Heimer is a potentially pro-scum role. The really odd thing about the case is that 11 hours earlier he had a reasonable vote of confidence in jcarl as a player. More importantly the really weird thing about the case is that in only includes 3 posts from between when Bum thought jcarl was town (12-2 @6:05) and when he thought he was scum (12-2 @17:14) whereas he included 4 posts from before when he thought jcarl was town. I'll read more when I'm back from work.

More importantly. As town, when I'm evaulating other players based on who their targets are, that's not something I frequently forget. It seems really weird to 180 on that in 11 hours. Jcarl's targets previous seem to be Rayn and Geript. Yet afterwards, Bum posts:

I have yet to analyze geript, though my gut said mafia. I was going to but the jcarl analysis wore me out, and I scratched a whole long segment that I thought wasn't good.

Also where is supersoft. I would have expected him to be around by now and commenting on current events. His only case this game has been against LSB who he called scum but then he proceeded to say he isn't sure if he should be lynched today in the same post? Honestly I'm with Rean on this one. Even if it's meant that way it's pretty bad. I try, often unsuccessfully, to make my "death threats" reasonably clean in game. Considering the back to basics game I can understand his sensitivity to the issue.

Honestly I'm not even sure how I feel about the Bum wagon right now. There hasn't been many if any other real wagon options. We only have 11 votes of 22 total. That concerns me because if it's a bus I'd expect 14 minimum. Honestly, right now I'd really prefer to vote Rean or Jbrundage on policy. Anyone else interested in a big switch?
What else concerns me, at this is partly my fault, is that the atmosphere isn't great for town. It's not god awful, but I don't think many are actually evaluating other people's points or trying to understand what they're trying to say. Yes, sometimes things can't be explained well but I think most comment are being swept under the ego rugs and that's going to make it really hard for us moving forward.

One of the things that bothered me about jay earlier is that this doesn't feel honest to me. I can fall into the paranoid town trap pretty easily; I don't think this is real paranoia. When paranoid townies tend to derail, there's a very obsessive quality to it. Additionally, paranoia tends to spiral in drastic and crazy directions. What's really odd about it to me is that he both 'forgot to send in his numbers' despite being pro-"everyone should state their numbers" but additionally that he's not at all concerned with what/who marv chose. If I were that paranoid about Marv being scum, my #1 concern would've been getting a higher slot than Marv and trying to figure out what he would've taken so that he couldn't get it. Being a newb (or hasn't played much) I'd expect very different spins from him and I'm not really liking how lackadaisical he's been about his "concerns/FOS about Marv" without that really carrying into any other aspect of his game. Feels like a random newb card to me.
