Yeah, cop roles are insanely powerful. Would have been epic if I saved Hiro N2.
But game is won so yippie!

Day 3 to Day 6 would have been 4 scum lynches in a row. Pretty impressive.
A bit less impressive because they all scumclaimed :D

But confirming people as town is superpowerful.

Look at how you, VE were treated because thread knew you were town.

If you look at austin and how much work he put in, in a normal game he would be untouchable just because of that.

Unfortunately for Austin he started playing imbalancebly good when scum kinda needed to bus (D4 ->). It really was more beneficial for Ballers to get themselves killed over Pandain, as it does not reduce scum KP. I PoE'd Vayne after Palmar's flip and WoS on D4 - N4 with his actions/questions to Solstice/CR. Austin was just a "could still be scum and capable of this play" and i can't read Mr.CC. When i could fully trust WoS it helped a lot, and CC not trying was a final nail in his coffin, it would have been wrong in any way to lynch Austin over him, but if CC flipped town i would have lynched Austin next.

Actually what most bothered me about Austin was him not trying reading Pandain. He did a lot of good and spot on filter dives and i was like "dude, look at Pandain, this is something you just can't miss, why won't you do it...?"

I get that you were trying to figure out my alignment. What i don't get is that in a game with 2 scumteams, how can you accept that yamato has a townread on you at that point. Nothing you did on D1, nothing you have done so far should give people a town read on you. That's a fact. If you are scum you can still genuinely scumhunt and be right, find people from different scumteam that you are in, and look good. That's what i have been trying to say all game. Everyone who do not understand this is either very dumb or scum who are trying to buy your trust by giving a town read on you.

My concern is that you, of all the people Palmar, don't understand this simple fact. In addition to that, you havn't been actively trying to find mafia. In fact, you have devoted this game into calling people bad. That's what you usually do in games, but that's so over the top in this game. You are not trying to actively find scum. You might be right on something, but you are off in a lot of things, considering what your town play usually looks like. You are afraid of getting shot. Given that you have a vest if you are town, you should not be afraid of getting shot. If you are a Police guy, the other dude can protect you, and you are confirmed. You should not be afraid of getting shot. If you are town.

TLDR; You are not playing up to your standards, in a game where you can basically guarantee your survival during the nights by playing really pro-town. This would be the best game to play so. You are not doing it, therefore you are scum.

This was a really good post that got ignored.

I actually wanted to say some more about D2 and WoS play but somehow my thoughts are very disconnected right now. perhaps later.

Re: Hosting It was a blast. And I got to write some flavour, yay

Yes, the setup was not perfect. As Cheese already pointed out, it was an error to prioritize bus over roleblock. Roleblock should have the highest priority. Also, I still think we should not let a cop bus himself. I do think that with this two changes alone the game would already be less town favoured, as you can't just claim cop anymore in thread and threat to bus yourself with someone else and it's gonna be unstoppable.

The reason why Precision shot worked so well is because townies barely vested up. I think from 11 VTs only 5 vested up over the whole game? (Rayn, Vayne, VE, Austin, WoS). Perhaps we need a mechanic that prevents PS from confirming more than 2 people?

Another thought, make drive-by increase KP by 0.5 and limit it to single-use.

What is it in regards to?
I'm very interested to hear any critiques to my play in order to improve myself.

I noted around D2 how you were mis-using the confidence you have.

You came into the game with a pretty big ego, which is not a problem when used correctly. However, I got the feeling that you tried to hard to push your reads on others, instead of trying to lead town. However, townies were not agreeing with your reads and felt you tried to push some scum agenda.

There was once talk in the podcasts about a game Promethelax played on Mafiascum, where one guy was calling him out on being a narcissist and making a huge post about how Prom's ego is overblown. At the same time the same guy also acknowledged that Prom was playing very townie. The reason this worked was because Prom used his ego to lead the town, to constantly push people to give their reads, to ask again and again what they mean and to threat that he would lynch them if they would not do what he expected from them.

So basically what I want to say is: it's ok if you come into the game with a huge ego, but you need to use it right. You need to push people to do what you need them to do so you (and other townies) can get a good read on their alignement (VE did this after Koshi confirmed him). But you came into the game trying to push your reads/opinion onto other townies, and they wont let that happen. And I think that's why you had a rather bad start into this game.

Also, I think some towns are hard to lead. While most townies are looking for a leader (which makes them susceptible to scum manipulations), there are some who want to do just their own thing. Vayne is a good example of the latter, and I think you wasted too much time trying to get him to do more (after all, you know how he plays) while also being unnecessary aggressive towards him. It was ok that you started ignoring him for a while, but you should have done that much earlier and concentrate on other players.

lol phagga, look at the answers to the post you quoted from me. :D
Oats: "you so bad"
Austin: "let's talk about something else" -> then on D3 makes the exact same case. :D

This is what most people go wrong with Vayne. That just doesn't work. He does stuff and interacts with you if you do it right. But never ever be aggressive or threaten him. He is usually quite spot on with his reads but how to interact with him is the question here, and being aggressive is not the answer.

Oh yeah, right, being unnecessarily aggressive was also a thing.

WHY CAN'T I MAKE A SENSE OF THIS ANYMORE!

I had it all in my head this week on what I wanted to say about your early game and did not write it down, and now I can't get it together anymore

I don't really see why this was a town favorite setup tbh. 11 vs 3 vs 3 with 2 NK.

It's a bit of a random set-up tbh. Everything can happen. You can easily lose as both town and scumteam after playing an insanely good game because the random 3rd team factor.

Town played a good game. It was an enjoyable experience to be town and you can see that there wasn't a single scum with a big filter. They had a hard time posting, and from reading the scum QTs they seemed a bit depressed, don't understand why, they should just kill the cops if they don't like them. I didn't save myself once this game. 4 times PS.

Mini towns are always way more impressive than big game towns.

Persona was awesome.
Golden Sun was really close.
Thug was perfect.

For the town!
I had a good night of sleep.
