God I kinda don't like having a winning strategy pregame, really kills discussion. I'm going to propose a d1 lurker lynch on the provision that we don't have a solid lynch by then. It feels like a goddamn lot of my games are loaded with people who post less than I do.

Truth be told I don't remember, I very much doubt it post-newbie games but I feel like I probably did way back before I had a grasp on exactly how time-intensive these games are. And yes, trying to, I've skated by on "that's just stutters" for too long.

Of substance though, I have an early, tentative townread on you (Stutters) and layabout. Stutters for general thread presence/comfort/activity and layabout for picking on probably the scummiest post that has been made so far.

Thoughts?

I open every game like that and i have no clue about stutters.

There's nothing particularly wrong with townreads but in general it's best to keep them out of the thread.

What in particular do you consider wrong with town reads? Obviously they're pretty worthless off of two pages of content but once the game gets rolling I don't see a problem with sharing them. It forces people to justify their switches more definitively than someone who is just posting a scum read or two then dropping it on a dime.

Dandel said he changed Scum KP so the plan is a bit harder to cheese with but the beginning stages are still doable. We should still claim after night is over and report results.

@stutters basically, town doesn't really benefit from knowing who you think is town but scum do since it makes you easier to manipulate. If a bunch of players say that somebody is town based on weak reasoning/little information then people will strengthen their read due to other people agreeing with them. This is quite problematic if said person is scum and it can happen quite easily if everybody is swapping townreads. There are other reasons but i cba it's 3am.

Well it's obviously a secondary strategy behind just catching scum but I don't see any reason not to report after each night.
