I feel like if someone's nuking it makes it pretty obvious for us to be able to lynch them. Just my impression. Many of the roles IMO have the possibility of moving up or down a pod. Just my thoughts.

Point taken. Perhaps I was thinking that town would be smart enough to not fire on a consistent basis. Probably a bad idea in hindsight. I'd still like to see your list.

Was there a consensus as to what I was picking first? No i'm not doing a silly "deny" pick like janitor.

I'm not really in any hurry to share my pick but if we came to a solid consensus I'll pick it.

This thread is a lot longer than I expected during the draft phase though .

2/3 of the way through the thread, wading through the crazy schemers' schemes and mostly I am with the people who said to pick roles that are fun since that's kinda the only reason I decided to play.

The Oats vs Rayn dichotomy is only reinforcing my read on Rayn right now (clearly it's in retrospect), though there is something to be said for how infuriating talking with Oats can be... that could explain all those one-liners I suppose.

That's the extent of the reason that these people are scum to Rayn, because they won't play nice? People who play paranoid are less likely to cooperate for fear of being manipulated. People who want to pick a role that is fun are less likely to cooperate as well. I just don't see how this is a definite case of those players being scum. Caller spent half the time trolling until he mentioned killing VE. Oats is Oats, Rayn has already had the Oats experience when we were in RED together. There's just no way they are all scum together and going against the grain and Rayn's declaration that Caller, Oats, RO and MZ are scum together is a complete crock.

Yeah I see you guy want some roles protected so I will take that into consideration. Thief, janitor, PoD, there were one or two more high priority roles to hold for town as well that I can't recall off the top of my head.

Sorry missed that question. The more I play the less full 180's seems like 'sure thing scum tells' to me; as a matter of fact, IIRC 90% of the 180's in the last game were done by town. I'd say it's suspicious and worth looking into him more, but there was a quote from the VE/BH mason log that it reminds me of it boiled down to something like "I don't want to push Geript into a corner because the more we do that the likelier he is to look like scum and prevent us from being able to avoid a mislynch. Instead I'd rather try and interact with him on his scumreads etc." I think VE's strategy is a very good one. I think it's suspicious but not to the point that it's a full scum tell for me. I'd much rather try and interact with him in a way to not lose him in case he is town.

Fair points that are applicable to anyone.

Look, though my emphasis is on Rayn, I am not tunneled on him. If he proves his innocence, I will move on.

But having reviewed my interactions with him, I am struggling to see how he can even be a remote town read.

(From my POV) At best he is null.

As an aside, I think holding off lynching candidates in the top 5 draft is terrible: just because there is a risk of lynching a townie that held an awesome role.
