Good to be back playing with you, and good to see some new faces too. Surprised to see such a lurkfest so far. Now prove to me you aren't dabbling in the dark arts!

I wasn't necessarily suspicious of Raven. I was trying to provoke some more discussion, because up until that point there hadn't been much. I'd get a gist about Raven based on his response and I think I was fairly successful in that. Comparing it to the previous game I'd say as of now he leans town for me.

The point I was trying to make was that Raven pointed out jarjar as potentially suspicious, and then later in the same post backed off and said that the behavior could possibly explained. It's a scum move to give the appearance of suspecting someone in order to look useful, only to avoid committing to it later on. in the same post.

These are all points that have been brought up by others, but it's the only truly suspicious thing happening atm. @ray what do you hope to achieve by switching focus at the drop of a pin with your agressiveness? two or three more posts like that and you're going after half the thread. Do you think this is an effective way to find mafia? why? So you don't want people to actively scumhunt? You want to discourage people for trying to find answers? It's day one, of course there is going to be no trust and questions asked of everyone. How else are we going to get reads? Traits commonly found in a new player that thinks he's invincible when he gets Godfather handed to him and doesn't know what to do with it. This seems scummy: Pointing out that I'm suspicious and hostile (am I being hostile?) to make sure everybody else is aware of it but then posting a weak defense for me. Basically telling everyone: You should suspect jarjar, but I don't. So keep in mind what you said here jarjar. Now why would Raven suspect you and then soft defend you if he is scum and you are not? If you're town wouldn't he just push for your lynch? So this is what seemed off to me. I mean maybe it is the case and Raven is just using real evasive maneuvers.

@Raven The quote about a "godfather" was by virtu and not me. I didn't format the post to quote him properly, and obviously can't edit it. Now it seems like Raven and ray are not too concerned with virtu's disdain for actual scumhunting. I will add ray that you seem to be fine with virtu posting to look for reactions, but in my case it's unacceptable, even though when it was done earlier in the game with less to go on. I don't really see a connection between the two these days either. So you should at least be consistent with your thoughts on that matter.

Looking over fishgle's filter, he hasn't said a lot, but what he has said so far hasn't been good. Starts off with a suggestion that you are the cop. Maybe to see if someone would be dumb enough to blue claim or give hints on who the blue might be. Then he goes on to list all the lurkers we should be suspicious of, doesn't scumhunt, and gets upset about aggressive scumhunting behavior. Then he lurks. Pretty similar to virtu actually. As far as Raven, I thought he was generally trying to explain things in a clear and concise way. However, I'm not feeling as good about him as time passes by. I mean last game he was pretty on the ball with reads but this game he seems to be off. Obviously I think his read on me is poor based on one little comment I made. Mad that I drew attention to him? And his read on you just doesn't make any sense, as in my eyes you have been actively scumhunting so far. Meanwhile, he soft defends virtu and instead tries to draw everyone back to me and draw paralells. On March 23 2013 07:50 TheRavensName wrote: His case on Virtu seems more like a sheep onto rainbows and he seems sure of how a godfather acts when he hasn't played one with a godfather yet when we are not certain there even is one. I think he oculd have drawn Godfather himself personally. Here is his only mention of virtu. Given the fact that two people are suspicious of virtu right now and made cases, you would think he would have offered an opinion. Instead he just says I'm sheeping and avoids the issue entirely. Calls me out for talking about a godfather even though it was virtu who said that and I just didn't quote properly. So in my opinion virtu is still the most overt scum candidate so far for discouraging scumhunting and whining when he gets called out. I like to go for the most overt ones first. But if for some reason we need to consolidate votes I could probably vote for Raven too. And I'd like fishgle to post more.

I'm siwtching my vote to Frorgon, basically because hes lurking pretty had and acting suspicious and non contributing when he actually is here (Via pushing connection cases off of nothing.) Truth be told, your reminding me of arctic, someone who would probably get away if he lurked a little more and only makes himself look bad whenever he posts. I haven't posted against V simply because I don't think hes scum. I don't see a way to defend him, nor do I feel like I should, but I don't feel like I should go after him if I don't feel hes an issue. Holy shit this post screams of scum. "He's lurking pretty bad and acting suspicious and non contributing when he actually is here." Are you serious? THIS is an arctic style post. First of all, there are a lot of pretty bad lurkers right now. I don't even consider myself even slightly lurking. And "acting suspicious" but you didn't elaborate as to why? Lastly, you are still trying to avoid talking about virtu, now just making it completely obvious. "I don't think he's scum" isn't a good enough explanation. Basically you are switching to me because your case against ray didn't stick and there's another person voting for me. Congratulations, you are now the most obvious scum. ##Unvote ##Vote: TheRavensName

Really bad play from town on Day 1, myself included. Although I don't think I deserved all the attention and ire that I got. Of course I could've saved myself by lynching Krafla if I was actually online before lynch time. But seriously, the fact that I was lynched with 2 votes is awful. Nevermind the fact that people didn't even show up for like 2 days straight. Shit though, even if we did a better job on day 1 we still probably would have mislynched (I thought Raven was scum the whole game). Not sure if we would've overcome the scumteam on this one. EDIT: Damn, is this scumQT bigger than the actual game thread? :D
