Ah, I was thinking of Djodref. I thought he was town based on his walls of text, then I flipped him 'cuz he was scum.

@vivax: Nope, not the SK. What makes you think that?

Too quick to believe marv. Miller in c9++ is in 40% of games. Look at the bugs/palmar argument in YAN. There is a good reason for scum to claim miller too.

##Vote: Vivax

was this a serious vote because if it is very weak

Vivax been very posty after having an avenue to not be with his pre game post.
I want to know if you actually think vivax is mafia when you get back.

your vote on vivax serious prom?

In this post he appears to be suspicious of prom for his vote on Vivax. What strikes me however is that if he's suspicious of Prom, he's basically telling Prom how to answer to make himself less suspicious. Why would he do this as a townie? As scum I can see reason for him to coach Prom through to the correct response regardless of Prom's alignment, but why would iamp do that as town? Especially given his response to my calling him out:

iamp do you have any opinions on what's going on or do you plan to uselessly ask people if "they're serious" all game?

Well if i told you how i think he would answer with regards to his alignment it would kind of defeat the purpose.

It would kind of at that.

I hate this post. Here, I think that VE falsely accuses iamp of softballing questions at Prom for no reason at all. Iamp is using a figure of speech to find out if Prom is actually pushing a vote on Thrawn, or just posturing. VE jumps on top of the situation to try to make iamp look bad instead of figuring out exactly what it was he was trying to do. Classic (and effective) scum tactic.

Oh, also the fact that he's happy lynching into Thrawn despite the fact that he doesn't honestly believe that he's scum. As town, any lost townies is a loss and pushes you further away from your wincon. Why is VE not the least bit worried about that? Why isn't he fighting to get the scum he's found lynched? VE doesn't care, and I think that's because he's scum.

So that's it. On Day 1, I'd say that's a good enough reason to put VE on my naughty list.

Yeah, shooting Ghost would be a good idea. That bastard.

Someone mind explaining to me why they think that shooting me is a good idea? Skimming through the thread, it looks like the reasons include "refusing to comment on a lurker lynch that happened to flip red" and nothing else. Mind you, no one's actually put it in those words. Instead, it's just Prom and a few other bad apples complaining that I'm useless or whatever.

Nope, not a veteran. Why does everyone think I have a neat role? I've been accused of being a serial killer, a vigilante, and now a veteran. Who cares?

I am, and I hate Day 1s. Check out my play in Witchcraft Mini Mafia for an idea of what I can do on Day 3 as town.

Just looking at the D1 votes, I would say that both of the other scum in this game probably voted for Thrawn, despite the fact that he had a PR. He starting being pushed rather early, and I think that the scum gave in to the general town vibe probably around the 24-36 hour timeframe. I'll have to go back and see exactly where that happened. As much as you guys won't believe me, that probably means that Sharrant and I are town. We would have too much to gain by jumping onto the Thrawn bandwagon if we had known his alignment.

VE is probably the one I'm most suspicious of on that bandwagon. Looking back on his posting throughout all of D1, he was consistently wishywashy on the Thrawn lynch.

I'm not softdefending thrawn. I'm saying I don't like that there's no resistance to the wagon. I've said (multiple times) that I'm okay with a thrawn lynch. So whatever, keep trying to inject scumminess into my play however you wish yamato. It doesn't make me scum.
This is just classic scumplay. VE knows that Thrawn is scum, and knows he needs to get on the bandwagon, but at the same time can't afford to just jump on top of it. Instead, he positions himself to jump on later, while not committing to it at all.

But that's just me.

Ghost, do you want Djo to shoot JX?

Nope, but only because JX is listed as town on my spreadsheet. His play is more or less consistent with his town play from Witchcraft. I think.

@djo: You gonna give me a good reason why you're planning on shooting me? I can't really argue again "meh, I don't really see any better scum targets", especially when I've been pushing the two scum that I've found all game long. Do you disagree with my reads?

I distinctly remember pushing Prom. I pushed Prom when I thought he was acting scummy. What I don't know is how that makes me scum.

And before you say "oh, well, you didn't like the Thrawn lynch.", I would like you to take a look at my previous games and find me one where I'm okay lynching a lurker Day 1.

Oh, and for the record, "posting a lot" != "active and trying to figure stuff out". That's probably the worst part of the TL meta. Judge me by the content and quality of my posts.

So, why did you give up on him today ?

I haven't given up. I've been spending my time pushing VE instead of going back and rereading D1 for Prom's contributions to the lynching of Thrawn. As soon as I get a chance to catch my breath, I'll go back and figure out what Thrawn's flip says about Prom's alignment.

I have him marked as town on my sheet. He's got a short filter, but he seems pretty intelligent and thorough in his analysis. We have similar thoughts on a lot of things. Honestly, haven't spent a lot of time analyzing him because we're so similar, despite the fact that neither of us are sheeping each other. We've come to the same place by different paths.
