Not much, Mr. Cheesecake.

Real quick, who are the confirmed townies in this game?

GF is coming over shortly, and I'm not convinced I'll get back before the end of the night, so I'll just throw that out there.

Zentor and Hapa are confirmed town. There has been no attempt to discredit their status in thread, so I don't see any reason to disbelieve this. MrZ is probably dead tonight, which is unfortunate, but so it goes.

I'm 90% sure that Djodref is town. I looked through his case on JX. I can't see him putting forward that much effort to try and get someone lynched as scum. Perhaps someone can enlighten me based on his past games, but I believe him to be town at this point.

Kush is probably town and just bad. I'm positive I'm not dying tonight (no one NKs the new guy), so I'll spend the rest of tomorrow really examining this play to make sure that I'm reading him right. Currently, this is more of a gut feeling rather than anything else.

JX looks scummy to me, simply based on what Djo pushed in his case. Given a bullet, I'd shoot him. If he flipped town, I would probably spend the next cycle pushing Djo as scum.

That leaves Eywa and MrCC. MrCC seems abrasive and forward in the thread, but not terribly contributory. I can see him going either way. I would flip him later than Eywa. Eywa has been gone since I got into the thread. That makes him kind of hard to read, but by process of elimination, I'd lynch him.

Hey! Green check on me! Neato.

Just for future reference, here is the voting that's taken place over the last two days. Only assumption made here is that Hapa is green. Anyone care like explaining to me how he got confirmed town status? Waaaay too lazy to read the thread.

+ Show Spoiler [Day 1 Votes] +

Morbidius (8): Drazak, MrZentor, DarthPunk, Kushm4sta, MrCheesecake, DoYouHas, threesr, hapahauli
threesr: djodref
MrZentor: morbidius
Hapahauli: eywa-
MrCheesecake: thrawn2112
thrawn2112: jiexian

Thirteen alive, seven to lynch.

+ Show Spoiler [Day 2 Votes] +

DoYouHas (5): Hapahauli, MrZentor, Mr. Cheesecake, Djoref, kusm4sta
MrZentor: DoYouHas, Eywa-, JieXian

With Drazak missing.
Nine alive, five to lynch.

Now, what can we take from this? Here are a few of my thoughts.
  • Typically, on Day 1, scum hate to put all of their votes on the same person. It's a possibility, but highly unlikely. That implies that one of the two remaining scum are in the group {djodref, eywa- JX}.
  • With Drazak being a possible vote, a single scum from the group {MrCC, DJ, kush} could not have afforded to switch to MrZ to cause a no-lynch.
  • Two scum in that same group is a possibility. Both of them changing their vote to MrZ would be incredibly costly.
  • Chances of all three scum being on the counterwagon to prevent a scum lynch is basically zero. This implies that at least one of {Eywa-, JX} is town.

I'm thinking that both scum are in the group {MrCC, DJ, kush}. DJ meets my criteria for scum votes during day 1, so I'm thinking, just by looking at the votes, that he is scum.

I'd appreciate anyone else's thoughts on the voting over the last two days, and again, I have no idea how Hapa is confirmed town. Him being even a possibility for scum really changes the whole dynamics of that analysis.

brb, picking up lunch.

Actually, Kush's case is not as bad as I thought, I couldn't read everything carefully for my phone. It doesn't change the fact that the conclusion is wrong but he is a least trying to scumhunt. Something that I'm still waiting from JieXian or Eywa. I could see them as the scumteam, but I'm not sure of it. I'm going to see if one of them can convince me that he is town before the deadline. Again, my vote is available if we need to consolidate on of them.

@ ghost

Your conclusion is wrong so I guess that your starting hypothesis are wrong as well. And I would appreciate you to read the whole thread. You could provide us great insight with your new eyes. And you are also in a very good position to do so because you are confirmed town with Hapa. Scum Hapa would have never gave a green check on you, and never pushed DYH lynch.
But in the improbable case where both Hapa and you are town, I just have to say GG

wtf is this post.

Exactly what conclusion am I wrong about?

And how is this case of Hapa and Ghost both being town GG?

Hey guys!

I'm voting Djodref today.

Why?

Because of this!

Figure 1. I dare you to click on this.

Djodref is right, I should take the time to go back and reread some of the earlier parts of the game. Because I refuse to read 100 pages of what is lamentably called "standard TL mafia", I decided to go back and take some time to reread his filter. Just his.

It all started with this post.

On December 20 2012 11:00 Djodref wrote:
I agree that Drazak has the most chances to flip scum right now. I would have Jx and Eywa as possible scum mates, Kush is still on the list, but behind.
I'm not totally sold on a town Kush yet, because he hasn't be insta shot when he revealed, because he is filter is really scummy and also because nothing prevents mafia from being elected to the WC votes. And they would know that DYH would be a green check. But that would be very very ballsy to play like this. I also have to admit that the fact that kush was reasonable and finally lynched DYH is speaking in his favor. I'm not dropping Kush, but I don't think that we should lynch him tomorrow.

Me being the kind fellow who replaced one Mr. Drazak, I wondered to myself what kind of horrible things my predecessor did to Djodref in the thread before I came along. So I opened up his filter and took a look. I must admit, I was a bit surprised to find that he'd been tunneling Draz/me all game long for doing very little. That makes me sad.

For any of you who wonders what a full game of tunneling looks like, see the figure below.

My curiosity got the best of me. Wonder how much he said about Kush?

Holy hell.

And what about the only confirmed scum in the game?

Let's take a closer look at a few of those DYH posts.

I could totally imagine him or drazak being mafia given their general lack of emotional involment during the shitfest.
I need to look at them both, but I would prefer to do it from a computer.

Regarding Kush, I don't remember him mentioning finals, but right now I could have him as scum for activity alone.
He's really avoiding to answer some questions.

I have personal concerns regarding him because he s keeping saying that I'm mafia without backing it up.

I would gadly unvote Eywa for Kush if Eywa keeps on contributing like he started to do.

I would lynch Kush over DYH

  • generally lurking
  • Disputable case on MrZ, which could be a way for him to avoid to contribute for real

Could you do the same thing for CC ? It took me like 5 minutes

Fine, lynch him.

But seriously, just watch Kush behavior right now, popping in in the thread, make irrelevant comments, popping out.
He clearly doesn't give a fuck of this game, just read his latest comments and tell me that he is not mafia. Just go read the last page of his filter.
I'm very worried right now because both Kush and drazak are not here, so maybe mafia doesn't need any interference for today. Maybe both CC and DYH are a mislynch.

Can we just lynch Kush ? DYH is the guy I'm the least sure to be mafia in my tentative scumteam...

It's funny, because at no point during Djo's conversation regarding DYH does he ever say "I don't think that DYH is scum." Clearly, he does think that DYH is scum, but just not as much as Kush, so let's not lynch DYH. This is classic mafia behavior. He KNOWS that DYH is guilty. Clearly, he's being forced to vote for him here because he needs to be on the right side of this lynch. That's why he's so reluctant to vote DYH, and that's why he did it anyway.

It's funny that, a bit after the DYH lynch, he accuses JX of trying to derail the DYH lynch, when that's the only thing that he's done the entire game is tunnel Kush.

And that's why I'm voting to lynch him today.

I like how MrCC's problem with my case is that he cannot, at this moment, identify Djo's scumbuddy.

Not "Ghost is wrong"
Not "Mine is better"
Not "Let's think about that some other time"

It's "I don't know who we should lynch next".

I don't care who we should lynch next. I found someone who's acted irrefutably scummy, and I think we should lynch them today.

@MrCC:

Do you agree with my case on Djo or not?

I'm pretty sure that Mr.CC's problem revolves around anger management more than anything. He can't think about anything other than me being scum simply because he's upset... See previous dialogue, this is a repeat of a repeat already.

Shut the fuck up and stop shitting up the thread. Poking and angering MrCC is not going to get you any points from me.

@MrCC: At least Eywa talks to DYH in thread. Examining his filter for 30 secounds shows that he actually responds to the stuff that DYH lobs in his general direction. Typically, scumbuddies don't do that; they fear talking to each other too cordially in thread, and talk about serious stuff outside of the thread. I don't see his interactions with DYH implying that he's scum.

Ctrl+F "doyouhas" on that page. You'll see that DYH asks questions directly at Eywa-, and Eywa- responds specifically to some of the posts made by DYH. Again, I can't say that this proves that they are of opposite alignments, but it's a good indicator. I'm happy to further discuss Eywa- tomorrow, but as for right now, I feel that Djo is the better lynch.

Ghost,

Djo also talks (and rages at Eywa) to every single person here and answers many peoples questions. But that doesn't absolve him of being scum, right?

My problem with Djo stems from (a) the communication he had from the FLIPPED SCUM aka DYH, and (b) the fact that he constantly admitted that DYH was probably scum while acting like he wasn't.

Alright, I'm out again for the rest of the cycle. Quick post:

I agree with Hapa. Djo is pretty much confirmed scum, IMO. I think my case against him is pretty good, and yesterday didn't make him look any better, especially considering that he never addressed any of the points that I made. Looking back at his filter, he tries to distract everyone else from the crux of my arguments. For example, his immediate reply to my case was

Basically, he's defending his tunneling of Kush, which is not part of my case. My case is built around the fact that (a) he defended scum while voting scum, and (b) he refused to interact with the scum until forced by the town.

After that, I think that MrCC is a decent pick for scum. He spent all day fiercely defending Djo. If/when Djo flips scum, I think that MrCC is the next logical choice for a lynch. After all,

Well, good news everyone! I guess scum really didn't have a silver bullet left. That's fantastic. I was like 90% sure I was going to die on the spot.

Obviously, Djo is confirmed scum. Lynch him first and then worry about his partner. I've been thinking that MrCC is his scumbuddy based on everything that happened Day 3, but that's just me. When I get back to Ohio, I'll spend some more time poring through all of that for my final thoughts on the matter. As for right now, we have plenty of time to figure out what's going on. The important thing is don't rely too heavily on the blue roles. Scum hunting should be able to end this game for us no problem at all.

And I've randomly selected my actions from make myself a veteran, RB'ing our dear friend Djo, and JK'ing whoever is left. GL guessing what I've done, scum <3
They say great science is built on the shoulders of giants. Not here. At Aperture, we do all our science from scratch, no hand holding. Step aside, REAL SCIENCE coming through.
