I'm with ET, we should definitely mention how important it is to keep the thread readable and then engage in a back and forth horseshit throwing fiesta with another player about some suspicious smiley or something, consolidating multiple points within a few posts makes the shit extra voluminous, viscous and disgusting.
I also think that it was a smart move by ET to debate whether or not it was wrong to quote only the relevant part of his accuser's post, and needlessly quoting again according to/in line with how his accuser thinks it should've been done, instead of just telling him to stfu - thus taking up even more space than one would usually require to reply to a fake case.

That is sensible I guess; just in the games I've played with you, you have always been one of the loudest and active posters and I'm more accustomed with that. While I admit that my pissing people off isn't necessarily favorable to a good town environment, do you have any other propositions to generate discussion?

I am new here - So I'm going to look at people as players in mafia, not as people. If someone acts scummy, I'll call them out about it, rather than ignore it because its "Standard Kenpachi play"
And if you think the moment people ask questions of people they think could be scum makes them suspicious then you're gonna have a large naughty list.

Pretty easy. And yeah, you know I agree with VE when he said shooting/lynching lurkers is a nice thing to do. I agree that I don't like to lynch them early on because that gives so little information and it's really easy for mafia to just hop on lurker-wagons which essentially would give us 0 information. Of course that only works if we actually have vigs, so if there's no dead lurkers by the end of day 2 or day3 we might have to overthink that one.

I vaguely am with your thinking concerning the subject of wbg. However, two fellows of most uncertainty would be Rise and ET. Counteractions between the two parties have been most unseemly of gentlemen, and they are not new to the courtships of this world.
I also feel our gracious host has raised an important point. We are not savages, and we should not act as such.

I'd actually say Risen and WBG are the only ones being suspicious for me right now. I don't think ET is that weird.
However I liked the one post from Risen I quoted so that's given me a little townread.
Right now it really feels like what I thought about VE in storm. I had a bunch of things that made me think he's town, I had a bunch of things that made me think he's mafia and I didn't know what to make of that and he ended up being 3rd party but of course this is only day1 based on a couple hours of our game :p
Anyways I'm off for a little while, see you guys later. I think what we got here is a nice little platform to start the day off. I'd rather have people talk about the ET vs Risen thing or about what they think about wbg than doing the usual first 24hours of trolling and nonsense-talk to start the day because noone knows what to talk about. Of course that's only examples. Feel free to talk about my thoughts (although I probably won't answer that for the next 2 or 3 hours?) on people or whatever else you think is useful.
I'm trying really hard to not spam up the game like I do once I decided the thread is useless because 50% of the people are lurking hardcore and I'd like people to try and do the same. If you got something to say say it but useless fluff to start of the day is stupid and useless!

Alright, I can't tell if it's been too long since I played with wbg, or if he is really doing something completely weird. He did point out 4Face ninja vote, which makes me think he will unvote ET at some point.
Now, ET v Risen thing is the most retarded exchange since Zephirdd vs chaoser on Steamship Liquida. And I was scum, accusing chaoser of doing something bad.
I mean, Risen freaked out with the most useless things EVER. "your smile is suspect"? I mean wtf it's just a smiley. "OMG YOU EDIT MY POST"? The most common thing is to quote just part of a post(although I prefer a link to said post just below; but hell its on the same page -.-), it helps condense posts and makes it easier to read.

I want to clarify that I won't be announcing my vote in this thread, meaning I'll always ninja vote. As I stated before my voting is not linked to my function so in most cases it'll be futile to look for reasons why I voted like I did. Not only don't I care if anyone thinks it's what mafia would do to avoid having to explain himself, I also think I won't be giving a shit this whole game because I'm vanilla town/Lord.. again .. for the 3rd consecutive time. I will however perform the function I set out to perform to test its efficiency.

About the Risen vs EchelonTee: I'm not getting any wiser off it, seems like two players that are just flinging poo at one another for no particular reason. All it's doing is cluttering up the thread, and I'd rather not waste my vote on bad players as in my experience in the newbie mafia games, they tend to just be bad townies rather than scum.
From the games I've played and observed, scum rarely makes big slips and it's mostly the townies who do it (see the game I played, 2 scum slips and both who did it were townies). Behavioral analysis over a larger amount of posts is the way to go. Unfortunately that'll be hard for Day 1 for a lot of players, so I'm in favor of pressing lurkers first to make sure everyone gets their fair share of posts in.
The main thing I've learned from my newbie game was don't lynch players just because they're bad. It's less urgent in a big game like this, but it's still often wasting days when you could just ignore said players as well. That said, there's a difference between bad and willfully ignorant, and the latter should still be targetted down, of course.
