I don't know guys, I don't think I like this kill GM talk. "The Ace Logic" of his DOES make sense in a game full of seasoned vets who know exactly how to lie to each other...which is probably the context in which Ace meant it. IMHO the logic doesn't quite apply to a Real-Time format due to instantaneous nature of kill-shots, but either way that's absolutely no reason to KILL GM.

I mean, we could check him...we don't know WHO is on the scum team, so we have no idea if he'd be the best player FOR godfather or not...right?

I actually DID check Varp, as I said. I considered checking someone else instead, but Varp is my target right now.

And almost as soon as I sent my check in, the person who suggested I check Varp died...just as an aside. Not saying they're connected...just making conversation.

I'm not scumhunting right now cause I'm about to eat breakfast and my check is about to come back...but I'm gonna go scumhunting as soon as I'm done with breakfastlunch.

Okay, check is back...I'm not disclosing role because that would give information to all you mafia out there, but I can say that he's innocent.

So there you have it...my one free investigation. Either DB was targetting me or all the mafia roleblocks were still on cooldown. Now we have to figure out how to proceed from here. I suggest d3 I do a lurker check - there are some serious people on the lurker list, not just the typical new players I was expecting to see there...so we should consider doing a lurker check d3.

I'm going back to reread posts from the following: Lanaia, 201, Mr.Wiggles, and Vain. I'm hoping something comes up, as I'm not really hopeful about getting a check d3.

PS, I'm still waiting on a vig to confirm GM's claim...a confirmed townie in GM would be a powerful weapon against scum.

My only problem with that is that I'm marked for death anyway, on d3 or 4, so my reports can be either confirmed or ignored. Outting Varpulis' role will give Mafia more information than they already have...making their snipes more accurate. Luckily they haven't had the aim they had in XLII, and I'm not really willing to give them a sniper scope.

If Chaos' plan is acceptable to the rest of town, I'll submit to it, but only if it's agreed upon by the town.

I do not agree that GM is scum. I think he's too set on catching a bullet. I mean, he COULD be like, GF that's painted up to LOOK like a Vet, but I seriously doubt he'd gamble his life against

1)Vigs too chickenshit to do something for town,
2) DT noticing this and throwing a check on him,
3) DT verifying his claim.

It doesn't make sense. Period. GM CAN NOT be scum, I 100% guarantee it.

I'll check him tomorrow if you guys spare him tonight, but really...thinking he's scum after BEGGING for a bullet is...guys, it's retarded. There's no other way to say it. Scum WOULD NOT do that.

I will NOT advocate a GM lynch. I know you guys think he's scum, and I can see all the reasons for it...but I just don't think he'd be going to all the trouble if he were scum. The circumstances behind him pulling SIMILAR moves in previous games were completely different. I honestly think that in spite of how silly his methods sound, he's got town's best interest at heart. Anyone who argues otherwise simply has a different opinion on what's the most important for town.

In the meantime, I'm going to stick my vote on Kenpachi. He's A) on the lurker list. B) NOT contributing (see A), and C) coming in randomly with classics such as:

If the medic protects GM then nothing is proven one way or the other. The idea is to send a bullet into his vest and for him to survive...thereby confirming his town status.

And as 201 says, to kill him if he's scum.

The medic will only complicate matters.

Seriously though, can we PLEASE consider using my lurker checks tomorrow? Chances are the GF isn't a lurker (unless it's GM...imagine if he replaces out as GF lmao), and clearly if Kenpachi is scum they could seriously be trying to lurk their way to victory, knowing we've been hesitant so far to fire into lurkers so far. If I didn't agree with chaos13 about there probably not being any vigs in the setup, I'd say I'm reconsidering open-season on lurkers.

At any rate, I can't think of a single reason why a vig would have killed Varpulis. Obviously (WIFOM notwithstanding) scum either killed Varp to push suspicion on me, or they don't want confirmed towies around. All I can say in my defense is that I was trying to protect him from scum by not revealing his role immediately. I apologize to town for outting him as innocent. I guess I should have checked someone else and told sandroba to stuff it...as I said, I'm new to the whole blue business.

The fact of the matter is that I didn't SAVE my check, I checked him about an hour after I first could. The reasoning was based on meta, admittedly. Remember what I said about martyrs? I followed SNMMIV because SNMMII was my first game here and I bore witness to his little ploy in that game. I didn't like it then, in spite of him being town all along. I thought he might try the same nonsense in this game so I wanted to find out his alignment RIGHT off the bat. Not much of a reason, but there isn't much of a reason to do anything that early in the game...from what I gather, blues typically have to wait until after d1 to make any checks, which is AMPLE time to have sufficient reason to check someone.

Also, regarding my Kenpachi vote, I've played a couple of games with this guy and I've read some too...he's active when town, to the point of annoyance sometimes. I guess I just missed the guy. It was really just a pressure vote, but I felt it was justified because of his inactivity / presence on the lurker list. If he was still on the lurker list tomorrow, he was my #1 priority to check.

I'm reading over 206 and YM's posts now...I was leaning pretty town on YM before, so I'm starting with him.

I sent it an hour after actions were legal. I would have sent it immediately, but I went back and reread SNMMIV and was at work at the time, so I waited until I got home. It was....~ 2am...1:57 EDT. I didn't send it after his little flip-out, I sent it as soon as I got home the night the game started.
