why (RB), Brocket (Framer), and d3_crescentia, annul (GF), and Tevo were Mafia. As we already know, LSB, RebirthOfLeGenD, and Insanious were Veterans. ~OpZ~ was our Mafia Vigilante. Everybody else was a townie.
So what was the purpose of this game? I'm pretty disappointed to - it would've been nicer to get overwhelmingly crushed by analysis instead of picking off the most active townies and letting the game stagnate through the rest. I mean, a win is a win, but I feel kind of dumb for winning this way.
I feel that you must've been going for some kind of aesop's fable lesson where we should learn to do post analysis instead of counting votes, relying on non-existent blues and judging people purely on amount of "contribution." Unfortunately, well... I didn't really see much of that at all.

So what was the purpose of this game? The puprose of the game was to have a few smart/active people in the town be able to stay alive longer by making them veterans. However, this was foiled as one person was lynched, one person was shot by the town, and the third gave up in frustration.

We should've guessed that d3 was mafia after he contributed nil to IRC way back when it was formed. Ah well, GG. It's unfortunate that it played out like it did, I was still really enjoying the game at the point where I died and was looking forward to seeing where it went. Of course it played out in the least interesting fashion possible.
It's cruel to say that roles will disclosed when those roles don't actually exist. I mean, technically the wording was correct in the role list, but it's just not cool man. Obviously the point is to get town to rely on good analysis instead of their informative / KP roles, but in a game that goes as inactive as this one did what's the point? It could've been pretty damn interesting, but I guess we'll never know.

To be fair alot of the "veterans" really didn't do much :p. You were REALLY scummy day 1, and while I was really retarded in wanting to get you lynched so soon(but that just shows how scummy you were), your defense was pretty abysmal and your whole "Oh, I'm going to be confirmed, but I can't tell you guys!" just screamed scum.
RoL did actually help but then got double shot. But seriously, that was one of the major mistakes. I told Opz NOT to hit RoL, I told him to hit darth. And then he shoots RoL. Why did you do that btw Opz?
Impervious was decent, at least he wasn't as retarded as me.

I mean, I'd think that kind of scumslip goes away with inexperience, but those two posts made me facepalm pretty hard when I read them.
Another good tell on why was just today - I virtually call him out for being scum and he doesn't say anything about it. He just goes "oh I'm going to vote Mr. Zergling" and avoids addressing my accusation. This should definitely be a tell that something's weird.
As for me - I didn't really post much or contribute. I did feel like my early vote on annul would've been enough to clear me from suspicion for a little bit, but as I said I wasn't really sure how to handle coming back from losing 2 mafia members. I think I did make a half-assed attempt at giving the town a plan - the best approach was systematically rooting through lurkers/inactives through post analysis - but I never took the lead on this.

This is the problem, just because someone posts bad (ie Bill Murray), it doesn't mean that they are mafia.
Firstly, what is a contribution. Contibution is new analysis or reasoning. All else is inactivity
#1 is pretty suspicious. But you have to seperate "not contributing" from "Inactive" #2 is not suspicious at all, unless you can tell its intentional #3 is not suspicious at all. As long as they are contributing, activity is not an issue

Well we can ask. Annul, is this true in what you did? If so, I bow down to your knowledge of psychology LSB.
1. Annul Hosts Harry Potter Mafia. Figures that I ignore analysis 2. Annul is Mafia in XXXV 3. Annul decides he's going to pretend to be active by making a large analysis. So he picks someone that probably isn't going to respond. He picks me.
As for you claiming, yes it could seem scummy, but again, it was because I was about to do a huge analysis on you, going to get you lynched, so wanted to know if you were a dt/what was your plan. Cause face it, that WAS suspicious, you can't deny that.
And again, it wasn't THAT bad of an analysis.

I actually thought annul was scummier than LSB on day 1. And yes, OMGUS is a scumtell unless you present a good reason for your vote. When you first voted annul, you didn't present a very compelling case, imo. It was only as the day went on that I felt better about you and worse about annul. Specifically when he respondied to my post and admitted it was a flaw of his to tunnel... and then he just kept tunneling. I didn't think we could divert the lynch to annul so I voted Brocket... but I wasn't nearly vocal enough in convincing people to switch. I was afraid of being wrong... My resolve for next game is to be more vocal about my opinions.

The current mafia MO seems to be this; everyone but one or two people lurk the whole time, kill off active townies and let the remaining town lynch themselves to death. I'd say the town lost this game after the second failed double lynch, after that pretty much all the active voices had been silenced (except for pandain who was a convenient scapegoat for all the towns failures). Also the preocupation with DT's and whether or not pandain was town really wasted valuable time. I played pretty terribly this game. Pandain really screwed the town with his claim.
