Watcher, but as you may guess from my name, i watch more than I play. Usually it's too fast paced for me, which is why Uprising suggested forum mafia. On August 20 2011 04:28 Foolishness wrote: Okay. Yourself and iGrok can post their games whenever. We have a bunch of mini games lined up but these might be more themed. I suggest waiting for Ace's Normal game and see how you feel about that. Knowing him it will probably have a smaller setup (~20 players). You're better off with the normal games to start as these will all have standard roles and will be about pure scumhunting (as opposed to say, Swedish House Mafia, in which there was an entire other element that players had to focus on). You can always PM me should you have any other questions. Ace's game sound great. I don't mind waiting, as the guides seem pretty extensive, and I doubt I'll be able to read them in one (or two) sittings. Thanks!

1) - The queue has a slightly different format to include cohosts as well. 2) - New limit of 3 games per game type, with the exception of mini games which have 4. In order to encourage normal setups, at most 2 of the mini games in the queue can be themed. Mini games are allowed 4 since they run faster than the bigger games. 3) - Invite games will no longer have their own section on the queue. Currently we feel that there are not quite enough players to justify an invite only section (Werewolves is suffering in inactivity because of personality mafia, for example). Also invite games are just not as common as anything else. A host may choose to make their game invite only if they wish. If they want to do this, they must run it by me first. Incog's game will stay on there until he hosts it. 4) - You may only have 1 game on the queue. If you are cohosting that does not count. 5) - Rewrote the Why does this thread exist? section. 6) - New addendum in the How does this affect me as a host? section: + Show Spoiler + All games must have a cohost! Having 2 people hosting a game ensures that the game is run on time and in a proper fashion. Rules about cohosting are as follows: 1) If you have never hosted a game before you must start by cohosting with a trusted host before you may host your own game. Hosting games on other forums or in real life do not qualify. 2) Once you have found a cohost, either PM me or post in the thread who your cohost is. I reserve the right to deny you a cohost. 7) - Emphasized the hosting rules: + Show Spoiler + Rules about hosting: Please consult this thread for rules about hosting. These rules are established to ensure that our mafia games are run in a fair manner. If you break these rules too many times I will deny you hosting privileges. If you played in a game recently where a host violated one of these rules or did some other misdeed, please PM me and let me know. 8) - Added a note about theme games: + Show Spoiler + *Note: If you take a normal setup and rename all the roles for flavor this is [i]still a normal game. 9) - New section about game balancing: + Show Spoiler + About balancing your game: All games must be balanced to ensure that people have fun while playing. Nothing sucks worse to lose a game only to find out your chance of winning was next to nil from the start. Please note that TL Mafia may be different from other forum mafia sites, and some setups that work on other sites may not be appropriate here. If you are hosting a game you must get the setup approved by one of the following members before starting your game: Qatol, Incognito, Ver, Foolishness, flamewheel, GMarshal --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most important items: I will now be keeping track of cohosts. All games must have a cohost. Once you have found a cohost either PM me or post it in this thread. I reserve the right to deny you a cohost. All games must be balanced before hosting. All games must be approved by at least one of the following people before they begin: Qatol, Incognito, Ver, Foolishness, flamewheel, GMarshal People on this list may refuse to look at your game for whatever reason (i.e. they are too busy with life). This is a volunteer job so please be understanding. If you are an experienced host or player you may 'petition' to include yourself on this list. You must have at least 2 games of hosting experience and several games of playing experience to be considered to be on this list. (Note: I established this list on the fly, if I overlooked someone obvious please say so. There are plenty of other hosts who are already qualified for the job, but since this is a volunteer basis I did not want to include anyone without their consent first.) ------------------------------------- Please discuss!

Only two players are on the player list for both werewolf and personality mafia, so I don't think that's the big issue.

Probably semi-open kingmaker setup Ive only really started on it probably a 12p 9:3 T/M ratio. Just really have to pick what roles and write up OPs. Depending on popularity might turn these into a semi-reguler setup.

I already got 2 themed mini games in the queue so you'll have turn that into a normal game or wait until the queue dies down.

It's basically going to be Pandasaver vs the Panda poachers with maybe a third party(pandas) in it. Hoping for basically a renamed version of the normal setup with a couple new roles I haven't thought of yet. If anyone wants to help co host or has any ideas feel free to pm me ![]() Moved to spring.
