assume the following:
vampires 4, mafia 2, town 5. 11 players remain. a very possible scenario given current numbers.
if it is day, and mafia+town vote out a vampire, vamps fall to 3, mafia sits at 2, town is at 5. town does NOT win here, because the second win condition states the town must OUTNUMBER the remaining reds, and 5 does not outnumber 5.
just one example of a way mafia has not yet necessarily lost the game

my DT is not the vampire lord.
aztrorisk checked me night 2 and PMed me, "hi, youre JOL. im dt." and the town circle was born.
it would be one hell of a rolefish for him to come message me that out of nowhere. in fact, he's dead, and its shown he was not vampire lord.
aztrorisk checked my second DT and he came back as another DT. we have since checked other people who have also confirmed what my second DT has said. he is also not the vampire lord.

so my point is that it is possible i guess for ONE of the people in the circle to be the vampire lord, but it isnt our DT.

you did not curse me night 4, because i dropped a pumpkin night 4.
you did not curse node night 5, because his role went through night 5.
so either:
1. you are the witch, and you are intentionally lying to town for some reason
2. you are not the witch.

nemesis: the "i will have you checked" inconsistency was a blunder on my part, but i had told many people who asked to be blue checked that i would let them know if we chose them, and i figured i told you that too, which i didnt
furthermore, we were going after zerroth anyway even without you pointing him out to me. so if you "proved" my vampire lord role from that, you'd have lucked into it and would have been right, but for the wrong reason.

aztro: i knew you were blue. i figured you may have even been a DT. the questions i asked you on day 1 and night 1 were designed specifically to elicit a check if you were the DT. i hinted that i had a role and that i wanted to work with you, but had no problem at all just cutting you out of my plan. this was calculated and intentional.

and this conversation with aztrorisk is what started it all. first message is when he came out to me, and the last three messages (the ones at the top) crystallized my game strategy. funnily enough, not so sure i would have pulled the trigger so early if not to save quickstriker.
