I have a feeling that way to many of these posts, especially the ones from our veterans are tainted by personal feelings. Which is a little disappointing, because only unbiased, in-depth analysis is what is going to win us the game.

And activity of course.

I don't think my last stint as mayor would make me a good choice for the post, but I would suggest that the mayor be someone without the massive ego.

He doesn't even WANT to be mayor.
I nominate tree.hugger for mayor, because the best person with the power is someone who doesn't want to use it.

What did you edit ???

Oh, dammit, unconscious edit of Ver's post to highlight my name on the list, and cut his list of people down.

You can see what he originally wrote in his original post. Sorry.

Relevant info:

I talked to Nemy last night. He had a bomb on bill murray from day 1 then planted one on me, but then roleclaimed to me. he removed the bomb on me, put it on dr h, and then died. Both bomb deaths are from him.

Shikyo did not roleclaim, frankly I don't even know if he planted a bomb given his activity. 1 mafia kill for sure overlapped with Nemy's bombs (most probable on Dr H). Either Shikyo's bombs overlapped, were blocked, or he didn't place any (most likely).

This is why you roleclaim though, so we can avoid pointless death's like shikyo's.

As for today's lynch, Tree Hugger sounds like the best bet for now.

What's the reason for lynching tree.hugger? You never got around to do that analysis

I personally find the lack of a single relevant clue pretty convincing, myself.

My activity is pretty easily explained, I'm currently in a production of Marat/Sade which is now in tech week. I have barely enough time to read this thread, let alone do the wonderful clue and behavioral analysis that this game has shown so far.

Doesn't mean I'm not happy to see such a bountiful harvest of red, due to the diligent labor this thread has produced.

If somebody can find one plausible connection to myself in any the deaths, then I'll vote for myself for lynching. Point being, there is not a shred of textual evidence against me, merely my inactivity (which I have explained) and a post by I10f which says absolutely nothing.

If I am lynched off of flimsy, manufactured, and conjectured circumstantial evidence in two posts, then I have no doubt the town will lose this game.

Ver, you're supposed to actually be good at this game, either you've totally lost your wits, or you're mafia.

Ver is being an idiot to suggest that a little double lynching now and then won't help. We have three double lynches. We have a lot of evidence (good, and, in the case of Ver's half-assed 'behavioral analysis', terrible) and we ought to put some of it to use.

Why didn't we vote for double lynch last time? Would've been nice now, since we could go ahead and take out L and Quickstriker.

Whatever, vote double lynch today. We need to get this completely right.

Lets.

There is still nothing in any single clue that points to my being mafia. Ver attempted to get me lynched on the basis of behavioral analysis. It was supposed that I had somehow been rolechecked despite the fact that I had played a very small role in the game until then.

Ver however, had not rolechecked me, and it became patently obvious when he decided that lynching a confirmed mafia, Quickstriker, was more important than lynching someone whom he suspected but had no hard evidence on.

Basically, not a single clue points to me, and Ver's suppositions have been proven to be just that- suppositions and not facts. My name is on your list simply through osmosis and not any hard evidence at all.

Let's talk about these players, and lets also talk about L. His clue analysis failed a day ago, and he volunteered to be lynched. Should we take him up on his word?

Foolishness your defense of Chez is "read the thread carefully." Instead, how about you provide anything to defend him, because I'm very confident he's not a DT.

I am, however, less confident about L being mafia. But I really don't see the case against tree.hugger. I don't see any solid clue links to him. Yes occasionally part of a tree appears but that's about it, I'd hardly consider that solid. And yes a bunch of innocent people voted for him on day 3....but how does that prove anything?

Ver's got a truckton of analysis done on tree.hugger, and his main point is one that becomes stronger every day.

Tree.hugger just got raped in the last game because of inactivity. This game he posts that the town shouldn't be inactive, then GOES AFK FOR FOUR DAYS.

The clues against him aren't perfect, but they never really are. Originally I didn't want to hit tree.hugger because OhNhas a 'tree' as a centerpoint of his profile. That changed recently when I figured out that the following clue (which seems like a gimme to finger shockey off of, given our previous discussions. I thought it would be odd for incog to throw out a blatant clue based directly on what we had fingered shockey for, so I looked through profiles again to see if anything caught my eye.

Here's the profile bit:

Here's the clue:

At home, l10f was busy compiling a list of suspects, frantic after his long night’s work. Fearing that his death was imminent, he proceeded to hide his findings in his house, hoping that some diligent townsperson would come along to find his work. Unfortunately, l10f did not know the nature of his fate. While hiding the last pieces of his information under the tile between the kitchen and the dining room, l10f thought he saw a shimmer of hope. Beyond the clouds in a distance l10f saw the sun piercing through the clouds. His hope soon turned into puzzlement when he remembered that it was 2am in the morning. Thinking that he still had some time before his death, l10f had no time to think as a lightning bolt struck from behind the cloud and sent an electric volt surging through his body. The whole house erupted into flames as a result of the lightning strike, and l10f knew that his work was in vain. As the light behind the clouds began to fade, l10f’s mind began to race as he thought of his new beginning in heaven…

The reason I haven't really posted this until today was that I was hoping tree.hugger would die so that I'd get clarification on whether or not ohN's clues are tree related or not. If that's so, then this could be shockey instead. The 2 am morning, however, as well as the our DT going to heaven and starting a journey anew seem pretty strong though.

Anyways, I won't really be done getting candidates for every clue section until tomorrow because there are a number I'm still debating about. And Malongo, I know you put some work up, but you're a grand total of one person, and that doesn't really add up to the town as a whole trying to fucking do work. At least Fishball was regularly PMing me and trying to put together ideas and a plan to go forward.

Wait what?

How on earth does that point to me? You quoted ohN's profile twice, and apparently that links to me? What?

Essentially, you're saying that ohN is clearly mafia, and therefore, because he's clearly mafia, than I'm also mafia? And Ver didn't have evidence against me, he had suspicions. If he had anything conclusive on me, a rolecheck, or anything, he would never have advocated people switch their votes to Quickstriker. The reason that Ver didn't continue to advocate for my unjust lynching, was because he had doubts against me, and because he knew QS was mafia. It's dishonest for you to suggest that Ver was sure about my affiliations at all.

He raised the question of my inactivity, and I answered it honestly, and as best I could. I am in a show (opening night was tonight, went off well, if you're interested) It's perfectly reasonable that all of us may have times which we can't stalk the mafia thread, and with 80+ posts in the first few days, I wasn't at all worried enough about activity to go out of my way to post a long analysis every hour. Now that I've seen activity go down, I've tried to be a little more active.

Here's something for you to explain L.

You advocated many of us vote to kill Redtooth, and I, along with many others went along with you on that vote. You publically stated on several occasions that if Redtooth were not mafia, you would consent to be lynched. I took it as an indication of your certainty. Promptly after Redtooth was shown to be town-aligned, you posted;

Now, as one of this game's most prolific posters, with a strong interest in these games, I doubt anyone was fooled by this sudden depression, and hopelessness. I expected that, come the next day post, you would pitch head first back into the game, supposedly revitalized.

I'm not very confident that you're mafia L, but neither do I believe this faux change of heart act that you put on after being wrong about Redtooth. Would a town-aligned player of your interest really be willing to voluntarily lynch themselves, especially if the town were in dire straights. Doubt it.

Instead, it's entirely plausible, and probably pretty wise that to head off criticism of your errant judgment, you simply took the blame, allowed yourself to be crucified while nobody was paying attention, and then pitched back into the game later.

Again, I'm not willing to vote for you to be lynched, but quite a few other people are willing to take you up on your offer to be lynched. I think it's up to you to defend yourself, and not obfuscate the issue by taking bizarre and disingenuous shots at me.
