Really need to sort out their defending, obviously the better team but they just concede stupid goals time after time. Rofl. Better individually perhaps, but Mexico was way way way way way better as a team.

I actually had Mexico as favourites so I'm not at all surprised they won. They always do good in the world cup etc and Brazil rely too much on individual performances and they don't play as a team.

I agree with the BBC commentator's assessment that the Brazilians played an arrogant game. If they had played as they did after they scored the goal we would have seen a very different match...
... But they didn't. And I'm very happy we got to spoil Brazil's party once again.

I'm glad that now everyone can see how bad this generation of the brazilian team actually is, people can stop pretending we still are ''elite''.

Possibly the most painful loss in this Olympiad, Brazil still with no gold medals for football.

Mexico never do good in world cups They have only reached the quarter finals twice and both of which on home turf. Even their youth is mediocre most of the time. Not winning any youth world cups and this being their first gold medal.

I think that Brazil's offense side is much stronger than Mexico's, even looking at it collectively as opposed to individually. But Mexico played better today, it's a fact.

Typical. Completely forgot about the under 17 world cups and Mexico won two of them But honestly, under 17 is pointless to bring into the argument because these guys don't qualify for the Olympics. The difference of play between under 17 and under 23 is huge so the argument that these guys would do well in the Olympics is weak.
