In all seriousness, part of why I think C9 should already be in finals is the current patch is very Top-Jungle/Mid-Jungle focused. Of the four best LCS teams (C9, TL, TSM, 100T), TL is weak in the jungle as Santorum struggles carrying, 100T is weak on top as Ssumday isn’t in his prime anymore, and TSM is weak in top and mid as Huni is Huni and PoE doesn’t play aggressive or AD mids well. C9 is the only team that I thought could fit well on this patch carrying from the top-jungle-mid. 100T is the second best. TL will struggle with not being able to play Viego or Diana well. Plus if you control Alphari I don’t think TL can win.

I guess it's a scheduling thing because you don't want the number of matches to be unsure. Seems like you'd have to be salty about getting eliminated from a double elimination tournament by only losing once, though. And other esports have "fixed" this by giving the winner's bracket finalist a game win. Given how it's really just for World's qualification, today's match shouldn't even happen imo.

Game 2 felt close, until it wasn't and then they were steamrolled. Very strange performance by TL. It should've been way closer, but the execution seemed to be on just one side.

Santorin played suboptimally for sure, or was Closer simply this much better? Game 2 felt close, until it wasn't and then they were steamrolled. Very strange performance by TL. It should've been way closer, but the execution seemed to be on just one side. I think it was a combination of a perfect day from 100T with a terrible day from TL. I think Ssumday did very well to neutralise Alphari as well. Happy for Huhi and Ssumday in particular. Ssumday spent a split in fucking academy because of 100T shoddy recruiting but in the end he gets his win. Huhi's career was on a death knell less than 2 years ago and he just gapped the best support in NA.

I quite dislike 100T as an org (or just nadeshot or whatever his name is, he leaves a bad taste in my mouth whenever he's been on screen), but I have to commend them for their current roster and way they approach the game.

I agree. Nadeshot has a punchable face.
