So we'll see in a couple months. Btw, I have vastly more faith in Looper now than I did with Impact last year. If the teleport meta changes at all loopers stock will fall but I still see him as one of the best because of his absurdly large champion pool which only shy's is probably larger. Impact was really good at the 1v2 lane swap but as that fell out of favor so did he.

There's no denying they are a top team, but the finals were hardly a highlight of that. Kinda feel like they will follow the usual trend of world champs falling off in the next season. Ya, like those SKT1 guys who went undefeated in the following OGN Winter, quite the falloff they experienced there. Garbage.

Or maybe they are just on such a higher level they can win games by just playing "average." Also a 25min win vs one of the top teams in China is 'underwhelming.' You sound like one of those guys on YouTube who comments on Faker outplays saying "yeah not that impressive, I see this stuff in Diamond all the time."

You sound like one of those guys on YouTube who comments on Faker outplays saying "yeah not that impressive, I see this stuff in Diamond all the time." Jatt said it at least twice during the broadcast: They beat the #1 seed from China in groups, then the #1 seed from NA in quarters, then the #1 seed from Korea in semi's, then the current hot-streak team in the finals. And, in this case, the definition of beat is something akin to 'ground into a fine dust.' I'm not sure how much more underwhelming you can get. When you beat [literally] every comer so badly that the only opponents left are imaginary ones, that's when you really see the true measure of a team. Can they only beat their real life opponents or also the ones that critics like Salazarz create for them out of thin air? The ones that don't ever make mistakes that you can capitalize on? I think we all know the answer to that, and that is why SSW is truly mediocre. Sigh, it's like when Roger Federer was dominating the tennis scene so brutally for a number of years that people started to say "well, he just isn't playing against anyone good." (For those not familiar with tennis: Federer's records in 2004, 2005, and 2006 respectively were: 74-6, 81-4, 92-5 ...those numbers are as staggering as they look) No, he was playing the absolute best of the best -- he just happened to be playing at another level where even they consistently got stomped. That YouTube comment couldn't have been more spot on. It's humorously ridiculous.

That YouTube comment couldn't have been more spot on. It's humorously ridiculous. Wonderful statement. And if you don´t only look at worlds. They stomped SKT K before that (which were undoubtly another top4 team in korea in terms of skill), they stomped SKT S in the 3rd place match of OGN. (which where a top 4 team in Korea in terms of results). In the past 6months they stomped everyone they faced in the ground, whith the exception of Samsung Blue 2times in the semis and CJ Blaze in the 3rd place match of OGN spring (who they only beat, but not stomped). Times can change and will change. They will never hold that level of domination, but I´m confident, that they can stay at the top together with other teams, that will come up.

samsung is like the biggest company in korea, you can bet they are spending a shitload of money on their staff to help these kids (i feel bad calling mata a kid) be so good there is a reason why the new york yankees have won so many championships.... hint: it involves paper

Outside of the Samsung teams it seemed pretty close among the Korean 3rd place/China/NA/EU. Tbh I wouldn't rank blue that much higher than royal or omg. Forgot to mention cuz of ban that I don't think we can take too much stock in loopers performance considering all the cans for toplaners we had this year. Pawn on the other hand.... what a god.
