Yes, EG have only won 4 games all season. They're the worst team in the LCS currently. Even when they're ahead with a reasonable gold lead they lose late game anyway.
Edit: Before super week I actually did think they had a decent chance to move up to 6th and make some plays in the playoffs. This weekend they look like they're on a one way trip to relegations.

I really was excited for EG after seeing their first few games with Helios. Even if they weren't winning they looked promising, but they're about to go 1-3 or 0-4 in super week and their communication looks way off.
A GGU-esque comeback would be neat, but that's way harder in the LCS nowadays - every one of those teams that GGU beat to squeak into the playoffs got demolished next season by the same C9 that's struggling this season.

It feels like EG is better set up to be a good team than coL or Curse, they just haven't quite gotten there yet. But then again, maybe that's just the fanboy in me talking.

Probably a bold opinion on my end, but I think Maple is better than Altec. Maple has consistently beaten Altec, whether it was Velocity VS Curse Academy a year ago or Team 8 VS Cloud 9 Tempest a few months ago.

Getting the experience playing in lcs and better scrim partners are definitely going to change things .

I think that EG would be best served by replacing Innox and possibly Krepo. Not sure who they'd find to play top that would be competent though.

One bad series doesn't = massive choker.
I think Shiphtur will need to step it up in the playoffs, but Coast were having serious internal issues apparently when that series happened so I wouldn't read too much into it.
Otherwise I agree with you, I don't really see EG losing to any challenger teams. Helios > Nintendude.
Innox did feed against Westrice though, so I'm not convinced he won't against Rhux. That game against Col was really something.
