Just re-joined, can someone tell me what's up with these Graves picks so far? Not that I wouldn't love me some beardy true grit action, but have the small buffs to him in this patch magically made him viable (people were mainly complaining about his ultimate not getting an execute already)?

Crs have lots more balls when vooby gets lulu, there's a pretty significant margin between vooby's mids and his lulu.

He's really strong in early game lane swap + tower pushes with AOE waveclear, which also mitigates his weak laning compared to people like Caitlyn and Lucian.
In addition, teams group for team fights much earlier due to the earl game lane swapping, and Graves with a single item (BT) has very strong burst in these early fights. He requires much less gold to have a large impact.

Trundle is not a good pick vs Mundo because you can't abuse him early before the Heal summoner really makes his ult invincible.
I'm not convinced Mundo is strong if you can get Renekton or Jax in to either outscale him or dominate him.
