the problem is if you gunna pick something like ahri, you have to go into the game with the mentality of "fuck my team, i'm gunna fuckin' 1v5 these fucking scrubs, and carry my shitty teammates".
Instead what we saw from jesiz, is "uhhhhhhhh, i'm gunna farm safely, and let this nidalee constantly outfarm me, and do nothing all game"

fnatic never seems to be... good, idk how to put it. It just seems like nothing really stands out for them being a top team, but they just always seem to win lol.

their lanes are better than most EU teams.
they have best botlane in EU, so they always win that lane no matter what. Xpeke can usually go even in lane, and soaz is better than quite a number of other EU toplaners.

This has often been the case for a lot of top teams in sports - a well balanced team usually beats one with a few superstars, or one that's really good at one aspect of a game.

Rekkles is also really really good, so I'd say he's pretty much their star now, but the rest of them are all solid to above average players (Peke has been occasionally scary this season).

Edit: And by scary I mean making stupid plays, not actually being threatening as a midlaner.

Fnatic has a few good things going for them. The first is that they play almost every champ. They trollolol with nunus and lissandras top, and other random cheesy shit. They started the whole TP crap top too lol. Fnatic is also good at cheesy shit in general. They are good at doing shit like 3 man w/ singed botlane in a bush waiting, or 5 man bush ganks or waiting behind random walls to get kills. They are also really good at reading the enemy. For example, yesterday they 5 man jumped alliance knowing that they are trying for a 5 man bush gank. Fnatic is also good at reading baron and doing baron calls. They know when the enemy team think that they are waiting around baron and baron dancing so they just take barons and other shit. They know when the enemy is doing baron vs baiting baron somehow...

It's just a general strong teamfighting comp.

It works all right if the enemy team doesn't have a poke comp (which Fnatic doesn't have) or an early game comp (which Fnatic doesn't have either)

I think they have to play around with their players' small champ pool.
