If the all-star games again has influence on worlds spots I will rage so hard. I will actually be tempted to not watch.

It seems like Alliance has no shotcalling at all. Blaming it on individual players is inapproproate here. Yeah I'm not blaming Wickd - Alliance as a team has to realize that their top lane isn't going to win 1v1, barring something strange happening - so they needed to take their advantage (the teleport top laner, which can create a 5v4) and use it. But Wickd never got a good chance to use Teleport - that isn't his fault its a strategical error from the team. And as someone said, losing that first dragon uncontested when you have the toplaner with teleport is an inexcusable mistake.

He already had pretty bad match up and after dive his tower was 50%, so he couldn't tp anyway. Wickd stayed to long in lane. If he back earlier he would survive gank.

Not having the best map control with double sightstone is inexcusable too. Even if you are Lee Sin, save 1 or 2 wards for your W jump, use the rest.

And when they wanted to contest the next dragon after that one they came too late and again gave it away and additionally a tower without even fighting, simply by being in the wrong position. It is hard to believe that the map control of such experienced players can be this bad.

But if you watch that lane phase, freddy was really smart, ran 2 dblade + dshield, which snowballed the early game. The renekton to beat trundle in that lane needs to build BotRK/Hydra, as first item, but Freddy did it with doran's items, and snowballed it just hard enough that he can start building tank, to be relevant in teamfight, but not get wrekt by trundle.

Well obviously but that's a decisionmaking-related mistake that has nothing to do with the champion pick

Yesterday when Wickd did his dumb Malphite build it overshadowed a lot of things out of Wickd's control. They picked Malphite into Trundle when Renekton was open (which Wickd can play, and as we saw, does fine against Trundle). Then they lane-swapped, putting Malphite into a 2v1 in botlane against a Jinx. Finally, they picked Nunu and then didn't go for any early buff steals or weird pressure. They desperately need an analyst or a coach.

The problem wasn't really the winner getting an extra spot (I don't think anyone would protest Korea having 3 spots, especially since the 3rd spot was SKT, who absolutely deserved their chance to prove themselves the best in the world), but rather that the last place at all stars, EU, did not get a seed into the Ro8 like the other regions. That said, I believe Riot said that this year, there would be no direct seeds into the bracket stage, so that might not be an issue again.
