I do have a theory that his time at curse teaching cop improved his ability to speak to his ADC and he passed on the aggression he taught to cop to genja.

I certainly don't expect C9 to do as well in the next LCS split as they did in the summer one. These 2 lost sets are gonna affect their confidence a lot.

It's eerie how those games looked so similar to the ones vs fnatic's in terms of pace. Close game throughout but the european teams just looked to make good trades, stayed even, and won with better late game scaling.

For this tournament Gambit > Fnatic imo. You could see how well prepared they were, picking up new champions etc.

In contrast to that Fnatic ended their extended vacations just a few days ago. I believe Rekkles doesnt even play Jinx and Lucian yet, or at least not at high level.

I am not sure how good CLG are atm though, otherwise I would be tempted to call them favorites against Fnatic.

This is actualy possitive for NA fans, Fnatic has not played together either. I can see CLG beating them.

I wonder if C9 have not played together since worlds or something.

Its quite possible, as since worlds happened they streamed for a bit, took a few weeks off and only got back into NA solo q games the past week or two.

It would make hai picking Riven make a lot more sense if that is the case.

Their team play looked the same. Their individual play was bad which isn't surprising to me. No one on their team is elite at their role.

Honestly though, Gambit, outside of hilarious Alex Ori whiffs, was pretty damn put together, so I wouldn't be surprised if they did. CLG and Gambit appear to have been the only ones to have gone into this tourney prepared.

Eh, their coordination and team picks (in particular, didn't adapt to end of S3 meta) were just abit...off. Also, Hai went full SoloQ Game 2. It just speaks of poor prep going into this tourney.

Sneaky being underwhelming as fuck plus being outpicked both games lost the series for them. Genja played so fucking good and removed his handicap by building good items for once. I can't fucking wait for the finals to see new Genja/Eddy vs either Fnatic/CLG botlane gonna be so sick

Since when was that surprising?

He's only shined when he can play on utility ADCs and abuse Ashe or Varus/Zyra.

Cloud9 disappointing once again.

Gambit still questionably overextending/diving at points. They better clean that up if they wanna beat the winner of CLG vs fnatic

Really impressed with how Genja's been playing. Actually being a carry and putting out damage

It's not surprising to me, its just annoying that people say he is good when almost every other LCS ADC is better than him

And he hasn't built 4 dorans blades yet!

But no, Edward and Genja has been performing very well, Edward especially. All those fucking Annie stuns.

C9's bot lane has always been their weakest spot (and ironically most critical to team comps, given their tendency to shove the CC/initiation/disengage duty to their bot lane). With a dominating Summer Split record, there's been no pressure on them to improve on their weaknesses. Hopefully this clears up Spring Split (especially with the team disparity shrinking: I have vague hope that maybe Dig will do well, for instance).
