Most of the time I've seen coin openings. I've seen one leona targon>sell once laning is over>coin, but I think that's a specific strat where you want to funnel as much gold as possible onto your carry, and leona enjoys the hp regen/hp anyways.
How appropriate it is that Shy is the final boss in the intro.

I think it's more the shurelia's being so much better then the other two final support items, and just so strong in general (and combined with taric e gives a basically guaranteed pickoff unless they flash,) more so then coin being better then relic. Might be both though.
