It's not even that. I honestly don't think their laners are that strong. Meteos is a monster and they were the only team in NA that knew how to teamfight once laning phase was over. As a result they'd push lanes hard to take towers, take dragons as fast as possible, and roll into the midgame with a gold lead and a godlike teamfighting composition.
Even if the other teams had a gold lead it wouldn't matter because they'd just Zyra/Ashe/Zac/Zed/Rumble the other team to death and stomp from there.
At worlds teams aren't going to let them take easy dragons, easy towers, and as a result C9 won't have their usual midgame stompfest that ends the game because the gold lead is so big the other team can't come back, even with stupidly powerful lategame champs.
