well, maybe if we get lucky they will implement a different format/system especially when it comes to the Wild Card.

paiN Gaming deserved to be at worlds to represent Brazil. but they didnt win... now stop that crying.

yeah, but that's not the end goal now is it? At the end of the day if you want to win the tournament you go through everyone right? If they're comfortable playing them again because they're confident in beating them. By all means go for it.

Oh I understand it from the fan perspective.

I know what he's saying man. I'm just looking at it from the team perspective lol. Two different angles.

No. They don't have anyone as manly as Diamond, LoveLin or Cyanide to make it work.

Because it was literally a charity case to build hype in the new regions who just got servers, not to promote some shitty EU team that couldn't get into the EU LCS. The point wasn't to perform at Worlds; I'm fine with Mineski being here.

I vastly underestimated him from watching the EU lcs, then I saw Lovelin and my eyes were opened

"good teams". WE has had a shaky season going 13-8 and barely making their season finals in LPL. SK is without two players at the moment and finished 7th in EU LCS (lol?). Copenhagen wolves isn't even real anymore considering their roster moved to NiP. EG finished 4th in EU LCS playoffs. The Azubu teams are now on CJ entus, and shield hasn't been relevant in months. Once you start following the scene for real instead of just randomly cherry picking teams that were good 6 months ago your opinion might make sense, but right now none of the teams you listed deserves to be in Worlds.
EDIT:

GOOD teams, not great. They're not even GOOD. They're mediocre in their own regions. They'd be bad at worlds.

I mean I think even from a strategic perspective I think Royal can really surprise anyone except for OMG coming out of Groups.

I'm hoping for these quarters:
Fnatic vs C9 OMG vs Sword SKT vs Gama Bears Gambit vs Royal

I think there's a lot of issues that Riot Gaming needs to work on before pretending that their tournament is the pinnacle of e-Sports just because of the scale of the competition. IPL5 was a great example of how a large scale international tournament should be designed because despite having more of a North American-heavy line up in terms of participating teams, IPL5 felt more of an authentic international tournament because of their far superior tournament design compared to S2 World Championship. Simple things like sound-proof booths, smarter bracket design, and simple usage of elements that have served competitive gaming well over the years would make this a much more respectable competition.
