I feel like it's been both. Yes, there have been a lot of stomps where the gold disparity makes it so that one team can do anything. But if a game is close at 20:00, generally the game is not much closer to being over at 40:00, and the game is still close. Honestly, aTn is doing well because Forellenlord is ballsy enough to go and make plays in the midgame. I can't remember the last time I saw a game where one team took a decisive strategic advantage in the midgame in an otherwise close game.

They went to Baron, got Destiny'd, went B and then NiP started Baron, and the EG members came in one at a time under Baron, 3 died, then NiP pushed mid and won before the EG guys respawned.

If the next EG game is similar I think it is over for Shacker. Not saying he did really bad, but he has to play well to keep Snoopeh away.

They had good initation with Malph + Shacker, but the damage was never following.

I really feel like quite a few of the teams, especially in EU LCS just hesitate too much to dive. When there's someone with 200+ armor and 3000+ health, a early dive isn't that risky when:
1. You have a decent lead
2. Waves are pushed preventing any objectives being taken supposing it's a evenish team fight
3. People are likely to be split to defend against multiple pushed waves
I feel like C9 is one of the only teams in the LCS that does diving properly in this sense and it allows them to finish games off without any chance of one dumb team fight or positioning error in late game deciding the game.

I don't think followup damage was a problem, they did win basically every teamfight after all, they just instantly backed every time they won.

Yeah pressure is just extremely high, so teams are scared to lose. Especially true for a team like EG that is still lacking confidence. Imo confidence is one of the most important factors in LoL.
