I think its a mix of three things. Two of the things you said and then maybe replacing some people who can just play better overall. I mean just take your pick. Saint is severely lacking and hes made so many horrible calls. Jacky is meh. Voyboy hasn't been that impressive either and the only times hes carried Curse I believe he played Tryndamere and Cop is Cop. They shouldn't think that they will start winning much more when they get alot more time with Edward. Edward is good and hes basically been the only consistent person on Curse and Edwards back is not that strong to carry 4 different people who fail to be consistent.

The only reason curse has any wins this season is because of Voyboy and his play in the top lane.

A lot of calls can seem horrible when the whole team just seems to be going through the motions. I think they really could be fine without a roster change if they go back to basics/fundamentals. Just solid play that has an actual thoughtful strategy (including picks/bans opposing team analysis) behind it. They really need a "Meta" meeting where they breakdown what teams that have success are doing and adapt to that successful style of play or try to find holes in those strategies. I actually wonder how many teams breakdown their opponents and how in depth they go when they do it. Every pro sports team studies the shit out of every other team and can produce good scouting reports on this. This is where a very good coach who could do this role would be huge for teams.
