Listening to Mancloud it's even weirder to me how TSM approached that. They didn't even try to think about how they might get counter-picked, or respond to Vulcun's picks. It was xin-annie-zilean from the start, no matter what Vulcun did.

I get that there was an idea behind the whole comp, but it really feels like they gave themselves at best a 50/50 chance to win this game, which really isn't what you want to do when you need to pick up some wins.

I feel like mancloud is trying really hard to not say "Oh god MVP ozone/SKT/Blaze are going to take us behind the shed and make us cry"

I think it's interesting that pretty much every NA team has went from full time scrimming to a little scrimming + a lot of replay analysis. I wonder how the breakdown looks like in KR. I imagine they have more time to scrim because a lot of their teams have multiple coaches and analysts.

IDK why you pick Zin after seeing Cait. If Zuna picks Kog...then sure. But either Cait or Ez kind makes it unworkable.

Ozone does roughly the same amount of scrimming as NA teams.

There's really no point of going for some super cheese if the opponent can just not do anything special and crush it.

It just shows you again that many NA teams has no idea how to pick/ban. TSM was, and still sometimes is, guilty of this. They went in with a set strat, which is rare for them to begin with, and then got obliterated when the other team counterpicked them.

I imagine they have a better infrastructure of coaches and analysts is a real help to let them focus on scrimming more. Like most have coaches but no dedicated analysts (Some exceptions such as C9 or monte's mystery team)

I get zilian mid and melee adc where does Annie fit in? Xin zhaos kit is going to get more out of tidecaller's blessing than annie stun.

I guess it was because Nami was not available s1 hue

Zac and Elise is what he's known for.
In normals/practice, he's good with Nasus, Lee, and Noc.

Did you get from the TL interview or where else? I'm curious. I mean koreans are known to grind out games in every game they play but I think it'd be interesting if they also go for the low-scrim route.

I imagine korean solo queue is great for mechanics. Maybe Rainman was right after all? :p

I imagine it was a combination of the early first blood strat (which failed), and annie being able to pick up lasthits that Xin couldn't reach

But ya there's probably better champs for that if you aren't going for the S1 throwback

It's interesting, fnatic got angry at nrated over not enough solo queue, rainman as you said and lemonation said in his AMA that C9 values their solo queue practice highly. While teams like CLG do it for streams and dig trolls solo queue.
