NA vs EU game 1 was pretty humorous. Not the highest level game, but it was surprisingly scrappy. NA seemed to work through some of their weaknesses while the game was going on (right click towers plz). EU still a much better scene than NA, but NA has a much more cohesive team. Solid mid and top player, play making jungler and beastly AD (Doublelift lived up to his hype for once).

Only one of those sentences are wrong.
Well since it was 2-0 not 2-1, maybe my impossible prediction will be correct?

a team that has pdd in it cant be shit.
on the other hand every team with xiaoxiao in it probably is.
an interesting conundrum.

Everytime I said iG would fail to do anything past the first round at S2 worlds I was so right, despite what other people had said about them.
But no, I've been still watching iG (and was before worlds, I felt supremely confident that they lagged behind most Korean teams) and I'm really happy with Zzitai and Kid helping PDD who obviously has been carrying this team since April 21st 2012.

Have to feel bad for the Gambit guys in EU team. I mean, they kinda took.their turns sucking too, with Alex failing day 1 and Diamond being off on day 2, but I can't begin to imagine how frustrating it must have been hearing about soaz's visa fail into yellowpete being basically the worst deadweight in all of lcs >_> I guess it's too bad for yellowpete cus GG is pretty much sure to go to global finals anyway, but damn I would be so mad right now in their shoes...

It shows that whoever tried the hardest won and NA honestly deserves it. I know that EU didn't train that much and in comparison to NA nothing. The americans were bootcamping and doing everything they could to represent their region.
I don't think you can blame the individual players performance. You have to blame the EU allstar team as a whole. Sometimes you can perform bad and that happens, but I don't think that was the problem. We definitely sent some of our strongest players, but that alone is not enough. In my opinion the main problem was their dedication and how much they cared about training for those games.
I'm honestly glad I didn't go right now because of the shitstorm that everyone is getting and i'm quite sure it wouldn't have changed anything if I had been there instead of Soaz.
Posting this because it very much mirrors my own thoughts. Well it was obvious that most of them didn't really care about the All Star, for example Diamond clearly said that he didn't want to go but was forced by his sponsors.. There's also the language barrier and the lack of train.. Besides I think that as an european you don't "feel european" but german, french, russian, etc... so the patriotic part wasn't there.

I'm happy NA won and it's getting so much hype
It's going to make it 10 times sweeter when they get destroyed by Korea

imo xiaoxiao has improved a lot
he still has derpy moments (completely whiffed a crescendo in CN vs NA) but he's also been making clutch plays as well.

Any word on the viewer numbers last night?

People are hating on yellowpete too much. I voted CandyPanda but I think the bot lane would have turned out the same regardless of who EU sent.

sorry but I want to believe that candy/thetess/Genja wouldn't have nearly missed as many ults, get hooked so often/actually auto attack in teamfights

I understand. Gotta keep the faith in your scene.

Agreed, hey have been playing much better post-Worlds. First in the LPL right now taking games off of WE and OMG, and winning StarsWar League Season 2. Glad to see them improve because I liked them at Worlds.

Not gonna lie yellowpete was probably a bad choice. But at least EU can take solace in the fact that if NA sent any other ADC our chances of winning would've probably dropped by a lot.

Yellowpete showcased the most insignificant 6 items varus i've ever seen, thats all i got to say, doesnt help that na focused on alex more than on pete as well >.<
