I think it's far more that Alex needed to pick HIS champions, Kennen and Trynd are incredibly strange choices for him considering his best champs are all Assassins Zed, Kha'zix, Kassadin etc...
Alex himself is one of the most team oriented Mid's in EU (while Froggen is arguably more skilled EG is very much him and four other guys, same to a lesser degree with Peke).

I mean, I really like Alex and he has always made unconventional picks. Didn't he play trynd mid before? Though I dont particularly like it, it could work, but it would probably require more teamwork that it is reasonable to expect form an all-star team. For games like this, I would favor general solidity over oddball strats.

Chawy and halleyular (I can't spell it) are better than people are giving them credit chawy is a damn good adc he might not be bebe but it's not really that much of a downgrade and while ohreal would have been better halleyular has been more solid than lilballz.
