they gotta start sending najin sword to deal with gambit

Unrelated to Korea, do you think World Elite can still beat Gambit?

My inclination is yes but you understand the pro scene better than a lot of people

I have to say yes. I rate their individual skill higher and they also have giant championpools.

I think WE and Gambit are the 2 teams you need about 20 bans against to feel somewhat good before a game starts.

3:30 AM...considering staying up for the first match though. Thank God it's break lol. Although I'll probably still regret this tomorrow, need to work on LCS write-up lol.

Pain's mid laned badly vs zed by not knowing khazix out trades early, ambition knew it, outlaned alex ich but messed up later. Alex Ich seems to favor zed over khazix now. It seems shoving mid out early is even more important than shoving out top.

In the IM vs fnatic games, lilac waited in top lane for cyanide to come after double buffs, cyanide didn't. The next game lilac straight up ganks after double buffs knowing cyanide goes back to small camps after double buffs. I felt like that was a very obvious example of Korean junglers being ahead of junglers from other regions.

Also, midking picking ryze vs zed meant he was either too cocky or he doesn't have experience laning vs zed.

Considering that LCS has like 95% Zed banrate against GG I tend to agree with you that Alex seems to favour Zed more, the more scary thing is that he both plays zed and khazix on such a scary level.

Has Zed really been FOTM in NA? I don't recall a pro match with zed mid, unless you mean High Elo Solo Q, the only Zed player that comes to my mind is NickWu and he plays him top.

Zed mid and top were fotm when cleaver was OP. My point was more that a team like Gambit have always formed their own opinions regarding the viability of champions, whereas the meta of NA teams seems predominantly influenced by fashion.

I'm gonna watch at least the first game carefully and write as much analysis as I can.

Zed really underplayed in NA. Can't even recall any (LCS) games where he was played, and if he was it was probably Top instead of Mid.

Edit: Recently anyway, guess he was more prevalent when BC was really strong.

Thing is, if you ban Zed and Khazix, you have 1 ban left for Tresh, Voli, Shen and Renekton... And thats assuming Alex doenst just play Kayle, Karthus , Ryze, TF etc etc...

Gambit's champ pool runs deep, they do so well with so many champs banning can only get you so far. You ban out one champ/comp they just run with another. Pretty much just comes down to which one comp a team doesn't want to play against.

CJ used all three of their bans on mids, those three are probably the safest blind pick mids. Seems like either SKT's mid is their strongest or their weakest player. Korean meta not that much different from NA meta like Scarra says. I think cross region meta lag has decreased significantly since start of season 3.

Alex's and Diamond's pool is pretty big, for the rest its not at all. Smaller than average actually. Especially for Darien.

They said SKT's mid laner is new so my guess would be he's weaker, Reapered probably still the all-star of the team.

People will still waste bans on Alex/Diamond so it allows Darien to keep a smaller champ pool. Ed Ward has Sona/Thresh/Lulu to turn to, enough they can't ban him out anyway. Not sure about Genja, but no one bans for ADCs so I guess that's kind of mute.

Their contract with Azubu ran out and they couldn't agree to new terms, CJ Entus picked them up as their new sponsor.

They are all top tier :p, it's not like he claimed Hotshot was the best Top laner in the world. Saying Shy is the best Top laner isn't that much of a reach.
