With his Ultimate he removes all vision (except for the area around the individual players) and then can fly in a big radius, ganking people from extremely far away and everyone in the enemy team panics because they can't see the other players, so they don't know what's happening outside of their own vision.

nocturne gets a lot of attack damage from his skills, plus he can jump a very long distance while darkening the map for the enemy. He is very strong early.
His job is to help end the game earlier.

That is from their first blood attempt at the start of the game. Ez lost a ton of cs from it.
