no its, not, this is how online games are played. When organizing real world tournaments for my sport of choice, i actually tried to use this too as its much better than some annoying group stage into single elemination. But people get confused too much, expecting football format.
I hate CLG, i really wanted to go to sleep.

Yah, that was a big problem with CLG at IPL4 where they lost to TSM and part of it was due to fatigue. Hopefully they're still okay for today! :X

Granted, it's not all fatigue, but it probably played a part in how terribly they did in the second set.
Ok. Then TSM won the tournament yesterday.
Double elimination is the most sensible thing as it allows teams to adapt to changes they see mid tournament in the game itself and adaptability is a good skill to laud.
This tournament format has existed for years, long before MLG was even a dream. It's not some "bullshit," it's a very standard tournament format.

This isn't some random bullshit that MLG pulled out of their ass for this competition (extended series is, but we've clearly established that this is NOT extended series). This is quite a normal format, and I fail to see how it's unfair to both teams.

I feel you man. I got to get up at 9am for the first time since I finished exams a few weeks back. Going to be a rough 3 hour sleep!

I'm not too sure what you are saying here. Misquoting? This is MLG. The last time they faced off against each other, it was also this format. Which I believe was IPL.

This is a normal format, there are plenty of mainstream sports that use the exact same system for championship brackets.

Well the super bowl, world series, and world cup aren't double elim. Double elim may be fair but you have to admit that single elim at the very least tends to give a better story than "Oh they won set 1 and now we don't even get set 2". I think it's natural for people to perceive double elim as unfair since the rules themselves stack the odds in one team's favor at the end.

I don't understand what you can be missing here. If you are saying TSM should be out because they just lost, then CLG should have been eliminated a few rounds ago as they have already lost a BO3. Im saying both, you just dont understand my point, its like barcelona to be able to play chelsea in the CL final after being eliminated despite having to win 2 games to get the cup.

Okay, so they mention some Yorrick Cass gimmick, and I saw Cass getting Yorrick ulti. Is there something I'm missing?

Also, I really dislike how TSM tends to run very similar teams a lot. It's probably unreasonable, but I wish they had like 5 different team comps for the finals they could pull out.
Oh well.
Edit - daSilvaz, you are making no sense. You are saying both, as in TSM should have won yesterday and CLG should have won after winning the last match? Those are mutually exclusive.
Double elimination is a perfectly reasonable format, and having a two part final with double elimination is more fair/reasonable/logical than randomly knocking out a team after they only lost once.
