It'll be a good feature. Considering how the new units and economy mechanics in LotV will need players to spread out armies, a feature like this should make the experience more manageable. Sure, there are some keyboard acrobatics that can accomplish the same thing, but I don't think it's necessary to keep a function like this locked behind that. Anything that splits up the deathball is good for players and viewers.
